Inseminoid.....fucking awesome
I watched a documentary about Mariel Hemingway and her family titled "Running from Crazy". Obviously about the Hemingway family's long and storied history riddled with mental illness and suicides. It was very well done, though you really only get clarity from Mariel as Joan (the eldest sister) is nutty and probably has either some personality disorder or a real mental condition (or several) and Margot (aka Margaux) committed suicide in 1996. Mariel being the youngest was able to observe and really give a good account of what it was like growing up in that household.
Watched Hangover which is very funny and Tyson is cool. They should make a sequel to that movie.
Watched the boy in the striped pajamas, Damon touching movie. About Nazi concentration camps but quite different then anything you've seen. The end almost had me in tears, recommended
Started to watch The Interview but honestly couldn't make it through 30 minutes :-X Franco was just so damn over the top. Ended up watching those two in Freaks and Geeks instead ;D
I watched panic room. Shite film, spent the whole time wondering where Jodie Foster got her tits from.
'Gentleman Jim', the story of Jim Corbett (as played by Errol Flynn) the boxing scenes were not the greatest, but it was an enjoyable movie although they took plenty of liberty with the truth.
Watching into the Wild starring Emile Hirsch who is an OK actor. It is about a young man who gives up all his worldly possessions after graduating. He abandons his possessions, gives his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhikes to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, he encounters a series of characters that shape his life.
Really good story and film.
That is a harsh way at looking at it because the story is quite moving. He wanted to get away from his life which was messed up and complicated. He survived 2 years in the wilderness which is an enormous feat for any civilian, most of us would not last 3 days. I wished he came back and visited his family at least.
Nature doesn't have feelings Master, it just is. 2 years in the wilderness? "Liver Eating" Johnson, Jim Bridger, Jedediah Smith, Kit Carson, Jim Beckwourth, John Colter, James "Grizzly" Adams...those fellas lived in the wilderness most their lives, it's a tough thing to do and certainly not for the weak willed, but it's also not for dummies.
I watched the original "Star Trek: The Motion Picture".....what a load of shit THAT was.
There is a theory about old Star Trek films the even number films are the better ones.
Broken City stars Mark Wahlberg (who is a cheap Matt Damon) plays his usual ex-cop seeking redemption and revenge after being double-crossed and then framed by its most powerful Mayor - Russell Crowe
Wild Zero: A Japanese film involving Japanese "Greasers" (the 1950's Fonzie/T-Bird's types with pompadour hairdos and leather jackets) fighting against zombies created by aliens, and an effeminate club owner....did I mention it also involves a transvestite? Yeah it is 100% Japanese crazy......oooh and for those of you Netflix users on the dvd there's a drinking game associated with this movie and I can tell you as an avid drinker keeping up is very difficult. But check it out, it's a good time.
Ted - very very funny.
Déjà Vu starring Denzil Washington who time travels to stop a terrorist attack.
Total recall with Colin Farrell is awful
@smashup have you watched pusher? about a drug dealer whose live spirals out of control?
Cemetery Junction was funny and moving story set 1970's.
Adventureland was funny set 1987 when @Spicoli was smoking spliff. :)
I've got the remake Friday The 13th in my queue for the upcoming Friday the 13th.
Willa Ford's tittays!!!! ;D
'2012' starring John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, and boy........did THAT suck!!!!

BOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOO
Africa grows larger and America falls in to the sea....but of course
Just seen Champs the documentary about Hopkins, Holyfield and Tyson. It was decent and it was cool seeing a little more about Hopkins life and times.
Seventh Son, I thought it was really good.
Watched God bless America which was clever, made some good points but very violent.
The Parallels. Thought it was premier of new series then to realize at end it was a movie. Watched The Wanderers...again!
Watched unbroken, true story about an Olympic star who fights in ww2 and is captured by the Japanese. Interesting film but my computer froze making me miss the last ten minutes
Battle Los Angeles was good army marine film!
My Best Friend's Girl was very funny.
Poltergeist, solid flick, the effects still hold up. And this is just before the release of the remake as well.
Oh, and most importantly I got my surround sound hooked up....WOOOO! The DVD player is broken on it, so it took some extra work, but I've got it completely rigged up and working now....I feel really proud of myself for having figured it all out. Great sound on it, it's a Philips system, 5 speakers and a subwoofer.
Jersey boy, biopic about Franky Valli and the four seasons. Directed by Clint Eastwood. Very different film for Eastwood. Recommended.
Kingmen - Story of an under the radar group of toff Brit spy types. It was horseshit, but an opportunity missed. It could have been excellent if they'd changed it completely and got rid of Samuel L Jackson.
It's so sad to see Jackson playing a sap bad guy who wears tracksuits and baseball caps and has a lisp. The mother fucker was Jules for fucks sake.
You mean like....

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters fun adult action movie.
Gridiron Gang - Based on a true story about a mob of youth offenders who play football. It was an OK film. Wouldn't mind a look at the documentary it was based on.
