Watched letters from Iwo Jima again after not seeing it in years. One of the better WW 2 films directed by Clint Eastwood. Can't say enough good things about it, great movie. It's the battle from the Japanese perspective.

Maravilla the documentary on Sergio Martinez which is on Netflix. It was pretty good and it went more behind the scenes with his match against Chavez and the dirty politics leading up to it.
The Darjeeling Limited which stars Owen Wilson who plays one of three brothers who travel across India by train in an attempt to bond with each other.
1934's 'It Happened One Night' starring Clarke Gable and Claudette Colbert.
Classic movie, swept the Oscars
The Imitation Game, the other night on cable.
I just hooked up my surround sound, I'm looking for movies to watch that will make the best use of my new hook up....any suggestions?
I also am a horror movie fan so any of those will be welcome suggestions
Went retro with my boys and made them watch Back to the Future, Groundhog day and Goonies.
I took Mrs Ono to watch 'Get Hard'. Funny as. ;D
I watched Everly with Salma Hayek :) was entertaining ;)
Anyone watching the new Daredevil TV show? I love it :D right up there beside Banshee for me
The Babadook....if you're frightened by a ham handed use of angles and noisy Australian children then this movie is absolutely terrifying!
This movie was sold to me as "The scariest fucking movie ever made!" ....needless to say it failed to impress
Olympus has fallen which would have been better if he died at the end.
Crazies - zombie type movie not great.
Death Wish ....meh not terribly exciting

(exasperated sigh).....well friends Hollywood has done it again....they've ruined more precious childhood memories with complete and utter bullshit.
THAT is not Point Break
THIS is Point Break!

Ok my only gripe with Point Break is Jonny Utah could have just shot Bode and then used his parachute.:D
The Fast and the Furious (2001) is a complete ripoff of "Point Break". The plots are completely identical from start to finish except they swapped surfboards for race cars.
It's NO coincidence.
Against the Sun was pretty decent and just finished the bio movie Manny which was okay.
Ugly Truth is funny
1981's 'The Prowler' about a World War II veteran who got a Dear John letter and then killed some people at a dance, only for 30 years later there to be another dance where SURPRISE SURPRISE the killer makes a return appearance.
It was an alright movie, good thing to watch and not read too deeply into which are the kinds of movies I like to read too deeply into.
I saw Mad Max: Fury Road in 3d last night, fuckin loved it. Reminded me of Mad Max 2, the whole movie is a chase scene.
Draft Day 0/10
What an awful movie.. GTFO with that ethics dilemma that the GM is haunted throughout the movie on his draft pick. I'm not even gonna reply how ridiculous this movie was. You mean the staff had all offseason to scout potential players and decided to do that shit hours before the actual draft and then moved up in the draft then became indecisive with the pick and then selected a guy they could have got later in the draft with the first overall pick just because he was a good guy? Then the GM (Kevin Costner) after the pick acts like a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulders and this was the defining moment he was waiting for in his life. Sorry for the run on sentence but the movie was ridiculous..
I've watched both: Winnebago Man which is about this dude
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSWUWPx2VeQ
....who turned out to be just a verbose homosexual with outrageous political views.
And another documentary called "The Union" which is about marijuana prohibition and legalization. It's a very good movie apart from a few things which were just fucking outrageous like the fucking Canadian mayor threatening the United States over a hypothetical "If Canada legalized it and the United States didn't"....this fucker was all "Do you like running your cars, do you like being thirsty"...motherfucker the United States' economy could CRIPPLE Canada don't be fucking ridiculous! That and this other asshole saying "We need to get off fossil fuels and nuclear".....woah woah woah...why get off nuclear energy? It's the cleanest most efficient energy there is end of discussion!
A documentary on Michael Rockefeller, (son of Governor of New York/Vice President of the United States Nelson Rockefeller, grandson of John D. Rockefeller founder of Standard Oil) who disappeared after a boating accident on a river in New Guinea. It is believed that Michael either died from exposure or exhaustion/was eaten by sharks or saltwater crocodiles on the 12 mile swim to shore OR he made the trip to shore where he was either killed and eaten by some of the local headhunter tribes OR he went all Dances With Wolves and decided to live amongst the headhunters.
It was a very interesting store and one I was surprised not to have known about before watching this documentary.
Watched diary of wimpy kid dog days the third in the series and it was very enjoyable.
Watched the class, French film about a school in the inner-city which was interesting.
Nightcrawler. Was good.
Scorsese's 'The Aviator' .... in all honesty Leonardo Di Caprio should have won best actor over Jamie Foxx. Great story.
I watched Ex Machina, in preparation for humans which starts on Channel 4 this weekend.
Very good film.
Full retard? You mean when he was in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'? Even then I thought he did well....of course he's one of those Hollywood idiots thinking they can save the world if they don't shower or whatever meanwhile he'll jet set around the globe and live in a mansion.....but I can put political views aside from acting talent (same with musical talent) I think Alec Baldwin is a heck of an actor but his politics are just asinine. Anyway Leo will more than likely win if and when Scorsese does the Frank Sinatra biopic....that one will be big.
Also Gangs of New York, he was good in that as well...but Daniel Day Lewis, now THAT DUDE CAN ACT!
Agreed. In the Name of the Father is one of my favorite films.
21 and over is very funny.
Ben stiller film heartbreak kid has some funny moments.
Safety not guaranteed was not a good film.
A documentary streaming on Netflix called 'Champs' about the childhood, careers, and lives of Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, and Bernard Hopkins.
