re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
The Sixth Sense....supposedly M. Night Shamylan's masterpiece. It was alright, it was not all that scary, I had expected scary but was disappointed in that regard. I think Haley Joel Osment was spectacular as an actor in that and in A.I. although he looks very odd now....almost as if his face has stayed the same size it was when he was a boy but the rest of him has grown up giving him a gigantic cranium and a tiny face so he looks like The Gingerdead Man kind of.
I'm looking for more horror movies to watch so please feel free to suggest some good ones.
And by God if you haven't watched Tucker & Dale vs Evil, do it! Don't miss out on how funny it is!!!

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
A bit late on this but Mad Max Fury Road was amazing probably put it in top 5 action movies I've seen. Have the urge to rewatch it over and over and will probably do so a few times in next few weeks. Champs on netflix is pretty interesting halfway thru. As for leo they'll end up giving him a "lifetime" achievement oscar when he's old in a semi decent role when they realize they fucked up and should have gave him one for one of his many other great roles

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I saw Blue Ruin on Netflix last night... it's a really good stripped down thriller/revenge movie. I enjoyed it.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I have only watched a handful of films in the last 20 odd years but was on a coach a couple of weeks ago and so watched this. I love Ken Loach anyway and Raining Stones and Riff Raff really left a mark on me in the early nineties. It is a documentary called "The Spirit of 45" and recalls the visions of a better society and what that created in Britain despite being in an awful economic state after the War

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Watched super which was ok, not as good as kick ass but better than another film whose name I forgot which is similar where a man becomes annoyed at life and becomes a vigilante with a side kick girl.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Watched Arbitrage which is an American thriller drama film starring Richard Gere, who plays a multi millionaire managing a hedge fund and is about to sell it for a handsome profit. He has cooked his company's books in order to cover an investment loss and avoid being arrested for fraud. To add further problems to his situation, whilst driving with his mistress he kills her in a crash but leaves the scene and decides to cover up his involvement.
Gere calls Jimmy black twenty-three-year-old man from Harlem with a criminal record whom he helped get off the street in the past, and whose father had been his driver for many years. Jimmy is arrested and placed before a grand jury but still refuses to admit to helping Gere.
The interesting bits are that no matter how extremely wealthy you are your health and good family relationship are more important.

'Dark Water' .....absolutely not scary horror movie. Meh

"Enemies Closer" starring Jean Claude Van Damme as a ruthless Joker type villain.
I highly reccomended it to all action fans.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Norwegian horror flick 'Cold Prey'. It was a good Norwegian take on a typical slasher movie. Some "being" just takes out any and all rage he has on these hapless snowboarders via his weapon of choice ....the pick ax.
There was 1 annoying thing though, the main protagonist 'Jannicke' played by Ingrid Bolso Berdal, laughs and screams with this very odd wheezing background noise....it really throws everything off....I couldn't keep scared, I was like "Is that how you scream? Well that doesn't portray fear AT ALL. It's like someone squeezing the final bits of air out of a balloon as someone screams....just stop it".....I don't know how the antagonist was able to keep on really.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I watched the movie 'Blindness'.....holy shitballs that was a bad one, WOW. Couldn't finish it even. Such ham handed story telling here's a quote that sums up just how awful it was.
"Oblivious to the evidence all around them that the disease was immune to bureaucracy"
I mean it gives you chills it's so bad!
2 new movies coming out I want to see though!

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Just Go with It, which is silly starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston but Brooklyn Decker is hot.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
San Andreas - The Rock in a predictably over the top disaster movie about the San Andreas fault opening up like a tin of fakin beans. In places it was visually fantastic. Most notably when Alexandra Daddario was running. Master I urge you to look her up in True Detective.
Cant help but like The Rock, seems like just about the nicest bloke on the planet (Matt Damon aside)
Big Trouble in Little China. Just as fucking brilliant today as it was 30 years ago (30 fucking years ago!!) Jack Burton has a catalogue of quotes that will steer you through just about any situation life throws at you.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
By accident i've found myself watching a bunch of Ben Affleck films lately.
The Town - Ben Affleck tries to do Heat (best film ever). Fails. Still a decent watch though.
Gone Baby Gone - Ben Affleck does Dennis Lehane novel (twist, twist, twist) about missing child/peados/dodgy cops. Very good.
Gone Girl - Did Ben Affleck kill his wife? If this wan't directed by David Fincher it could have been crap. However, Fincher is brilliant so I watched it twice.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
The Drop - Tom Hardy, Tony Soprano. Dennis Lehane short story - Russian gangsters, abandoned dogs, dodgy boyfriends, back stabbers, never underestimate a borderline retard.
Reclaim - complete and utter pony. John Cusack used to be in good films.
Grand Piano - complete and utter pony. John Cusack used to be in good films.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Just as @Memphis has a man crush on Matt Damon you have one on Ben Aflick. You two should watch Good Will Hunting again.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I'm going to get in the Halloween mood with some scary movies.....anyone have some top notch horror films for me to watch? Or some really bad ones?

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Dr. Giggles....yeesh, what a horrible movie....it was glorious ;D
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Watched loopers about time travel and assassins but very silly. I think the director has made the star war films which is not a good sign.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Went to see "Burnt" with the wife, and accumulated major points. ;D
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Watched The last days of Vietnam last night. Never really knew how chaotic and ill prepared the plan was drawn up and executed. Forgetting Marines on the roof and the Ambassador basically in denial until the last minute. Bit of a synopsis of the entire war really.
