How do you figure he is damaged goods?????thats your OPINION only!!!Do you have any bases for that statement??
I said he was damaged goods after the first fight and that Castillo would knock him out in the rematch. I just think people are figuring that if Castillo weighed in at 135 that Corrales wouldn't have been knocked out, he would have been.
Corrales would have just been knocked out by Castillo again. HE is damaged goods. It's my opinion sure, but I am sure many feel the same way
Being that you're the goof who couldn't pick a fight to save their mother, it's clear by this statement that Corrales would have won ;D ;D ;D :lickish: :lickish: :lickish:

exactly, so let me state my opinion without you all thinking I'm stating it as fact ;) I could very well be right and so could you. So don't act like its just opinion its a very strong opinion. And I base it on the first fight not the second.
Re: Castillo Weighs in at 140; Fight Cancelled.
This throws the door open to Ricky Hatton..
Bob Arum is standing to lose $1m+ from this fiasco.
Arum will want Castillo to headline a fight with Miguel Cotto - For pennies now !
He will want payback, i.e. Castillo fighting on the cheap.
Castillo is a little battle-worn and not a spring chicken and will be looking for the biggest payday out there.
In comes Banner/ Fight Academy with an offer to fight Hatton at 140 or 147 at MSG, an offer that Castillo can't refuse.
Castillo will know Arum will favour Cotto now over him for sure........ Arum will want Castillo to be cannon fodder for Miguel Cotto - a last hurrah for miguel before he fights the winner of Witter/ Corley before moving up to 147.
Castillo probably felt the un-loved fighter next to Cotto in Arums eyes anyway and this situation with Corrales has soured the intentions of Bob Arum for ever now.
Hatton Vs Castillo - that IS a fight worth watching !
Re: Castillo Weighs in at 140; Fight Cancelled.
I see your point AdamGB that it is hard for Castillo to make weight. But that is his job and he gets paid well to do it. Boxing is about more than just stepping into the ring and throwing punches, its about all the things that lead up to that point. Training and making weight is all part of boxing and it should be expected that you fulfil that part of the obligation.
If he knew he was having a hard time making weight he should have contacted the Corrales camp so they could make a decision regarding that situation. Maybe they would have found a replacement or maybe they would have fought at a catchweight or maybe another option. But instead of doing so he strolled up to the scales as if he knew he was going to make weight and I don't see any purpose in that. What did he think was going to happen when he got on the scales?
I think he is a good fighter, but I lost alot of respect for him because of this. I mean sure you can get your money back from your ticket but what about the people who flew to Vegas and booked a hotel room can they also get a refund from that? Or the people who switched around their schedules to accommodate the fight, or the money Corrales is going to lose, not to consider the extra lay-off time between fights for him now. All this could have been avoided with a little notice or a warning of some sort regarding his weight problem. 5 pounds is not something you lose or gain on the day of the fight. This just further tarnishes his already tarnished reputation following the "cheating" at the scales of their second fight.

What do you base your damaged goods theory on? The last fight he lost was coz castillo came in overweight. I dont think he is damaged which why i picked him to win and yet again dickhead castillo came in overweight and his trainer tried to lift the scales. Down right dirty shit.

why's everyone assume I base it off the second fight ;D He;s damaged goods from the first one :)
Re: Castillo Weighs in at 140; Fight Cancelled.
Im with P, sometimes when you win, you actually lose. Corrales got the W, but he lost a whole lot more in fight one. I fully expected Castillo to knock him out in fight 2,3 or however many fights they might have, weight difference or not.
