Mick,
You're gonna cringe when you hear this, but after last nights episode I really want Mayweather to win this fight. Not because De La Hoya did anything wrong, but I saw Mayweather being more sincere than usual and I fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Totally agree.
I said this somewhere else (& it really REALLY kills me that it happens...but it does) but it blows me mind that Floyd can do, say, & act in the same fashion that Hopkins, Mayorga, Jones, Toney, & many others do yet he catches the most flack for it.
It's a known fact that Floyd is a turd...but there's a good side to him too...no matter what anyone says. At the end of the day he's still a person too, with kids, a home, a mother, & so on & so on...he's just a person with kids, a home, a mother, & a shitload of money & attitude to boot.
I'm fine with either man winning...but I'd rather see Floyd pull it out.
Then you can sit back & listen to the river of bullshit wash buy as everyone talks about how badly Oscar sucks & why it's no big deal that Floyd beat him. ::**

Get the fwock! out of here with that sh*t! >:mad
I hope that EVERY week from NOW ON you question EVERY single pick you make in the prediction contest. That EVERY week once you've already made your picks late night before you go to sleep you begin to question the picks and when you wake up you think about them and when your logged on here you check your picks and you change them over and over and over and over and over. :sneaky:

LOL LOL That's not funny because I already do that!
I have a blue spiral notebook that I write all my pics down in. I carry it around the house with me and stare at it all damn day and all damn week. When I am not staring at a round pick and wondering if it is a mistake I am flipping back through this season and seeing where I went wrong. I also have all my picks from last season in it.
I'm hooked on the prediction contest like it's a freakin drug.

Re: ODLH vs. PBF (24/7) *Let's Talk about it here* (Episodes Included)
Im watching the replay of the second episode..and Roger Mayweather is funny. I like when he called Freddie Roach using a Jewish sounding fake name and he gets on with his voice asking how he is gonna try to beat Floyd..lol that was great. And damn Oscars got a fine wife..I really hate him now.Lucky dog.

I was really intrigued about the late night running and training segments from Floyd. He keeps his body working around the clock. These fights usually go on around 10PM at night and since Floyd puts in work all hours of the night, his body, his muscles, and most importantly, his mind are used to performing at a high level late at night during fight time. Oscar seems to only train until dinner time and such from the footage shown. This will be a problem for Oscar because while waking up in the morning early and training is good, his adrenaline will only take him so far in the fight before his body naturally starts to shut down and he tires. Just like when we all get used to going to sleep and waking up at a certain time and being tired at night, fighters are the same way. Their bodies and minds are used to shutting down around fight time. So after the adrenaline fuels them for half the fight, they can't help but get tired. It's a perfect explanation why his stamina and conditioning is top notch and why he never really tires that badly. This is a really cool show from HBO, I would have never known about that late night training crap.
BTW, did yall notice anything during the little snippets of Mosley sparring De La Hoya? I don't know if De La Hoya was resting during the segments or is trying to throw off Mayweather's camp, but I've noticed from the little bit they've showed the past two weeks, Mosley's hands and footwork look MUCH faster than Oscar's. It's great to do all this talking about what you're gonna do but I don't really see Oscar doing anything out of the ordinary or putting in extra work to win this fight. I mean he's waking up and doing roadwork, then sparring and training during the day, then throwing birthday parties and going on TV shows at night. It all seems a bit too ordinary. It seems like he's training to fight Fernando Vargas a second time not the pound for pound king. Floyd's training at crazy hours and most importantly, he's not losing any weight. He's working on timing, technique, and gameplan right now. Roach said that Oscar was at 154 or something like that two months ago but when Oscar weighed in at the 30 day weight test, he was like in the mid 160s. I'm not saying that Oscar isn't working hard because we all don't see all the footage from camp and we don't know, but I think Oscar is overestimating how important weight is in this match. I think he thinks that him being the natural bigger man gives him an advantage that will put him on a level playing field with Mayweather. But Mayweather has been used to being the smaller guy all the way down at 135. If Oscar could keep his same stamina level throughout the fight, I would favor him to win, but De La Hoya gassing out is as predictable as the sun rising.

how u see this one playing out by the way bentley?
Re: ODLH vs. PBF (24/7) *Let's Talk about it here* (Episodes Included)
OK, I can't be the only person here who watches 24/7, and then the next day goes back and watches the same episode again, and then again....
Too bad they didn't do something like this for Lewis-Tyson, although it was probably impossible because of the HBO-Showtime issue.
I'm trying to think of other fights I would've liked to seen this type of show for.
Morales-Barrera
DLH-Tito
DLH-Vargas
Those are a couple that come to mind. You need there to be some genuine dislike between the fighters for it to be interesting.

J my man..I think(HOPE)..tHINK :P .. That this fight will shock the world..
Ive just got this feeling that its gona be a great fight.. Its not gona be gatti - ward or nothing..
But i just have a feeling that although floyd gets hated on all the time and is undefeated and almost untouchable.. I think that he'll be defeated in an exciting bout..And he'll dig right down and put on a show and a fight and really earn the respect and gratitude of the public even after the loss...
Kinda like rjj- tarver 1.. Everything came to roy so easy before..So he comes in fighting a world class fighter weight drained and ill prepared and that was a great performance where roy had to dig down deep and finally show the fans some heart..He had to win those last two rounds to make it clear that he won and he went and did it..
I dont think that there will be a knockout in the de la hoya mayweather fight..
But i think floyd can be heart..Weve seen it before but corley wasnt skilled enough to follow up and floyd was too quick and smart to let him...
Zab had momentum skill and had tagged floyd twice early but is inconsistant and impatient and let floyd take back the control later..
But i think oscar is powerful..Its a whole new weight class.. I think he's wise and smart..
And he'l be in great shape so when he comes into the fight i believe thats what it will be ...A real fight!
Peace
