I havent seen this fight, but he looked really good against Maddalone in his last outing so hes shown his tank is not yet empty.
Watch a highlight clip of the Holyfield vs. Savarese fight here.

I really believe Evander is not Human at all, the guy is really something every fighter and fan looks up to... Man, it doesn't matter if he had bad fights with Ruiz, if he ran into a right against Bowe or was outclassed by Toney, if he has 9 losses or if he has to save his engine and fight in spurts, Holyfield is always a thrilling, intense performer and I do believe he can still beat any Top Dog in the HWT Division including Peter ( I would like to see Evander and Oliver since The Atomic Bull says he's willing to fight anyone really, including Evander)... If he doesn't get his 5th hwt title and gets kayoed in the process, he's still my favourite fighter of all time!
CC Sal, thanks for doin the RBR. But I was a little confused who was "H" and "S"? ;D ;)Quote:

Evander is in top form , he's beaten better fighters in Oquendo Maddilone and Saverse then some of the top 10 have even fought . Evander was fighting with bad shoulders in those matches you mentioned. couldn’t turn down the payday , the risk of surgery was 50 / 50 no more boxing.. he had contract to fulfill before he could risk the surgery. so he gutted up and fought on. after the 4 fight contract was up then he had his surgery 4 in total .. both rotator cuffs were shot, turned out success. now he is in top form.. Vander sits better on his shots now then before. I like him to beat any of the current Champions. Holy's work rate at 44 smokes this lot .Quote:

Regarding the shoulder surgery it seems that he had rotator cuff surgery either 2002 or 2003 depending on reports which would put it smack in the middle of his losing streak and during his contract with Don King so that argument needs to be a bit further investigated...I don't argue that he needed to recupperate and the years away and whatever "therapies" he used helped....but again looking good against Lou Savarese is a whole lot different than looking good against a Sam Peter, Wlad or Vitali Klitschko....Quote:

and while he couldnt beat big vladdy, vitali, peter, sultan, or chagaev he would probably beat almost any other HW, INCLUDING byrd and toney
I honestly believe that as well except i use the holyfield that fought byrd as an example.Quote:
