Because adverts don't sell a product generally, they sell aspirations ..... so the use of a foreign accent reinforces national stereotypes (whether or not they are true or not) .... thus a perfume sold in a French accent is supposed to imply sophistication and sex etc.

So car insurance, wireless internet, and laundry detergent are all things English accents can help sell because????

Everyone is taking this way too seriously, I just am annoyed with the commercials is all....I thought I could vent to you on here in a humorous manner but noooooo everyone has to get all serious on me
