Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
Personally i dont think someone as fiercely competitive as Mayweather would come in at 146 if the weight limit was meant to be 144. If that WAS the case, then im almost certain that Floyd would come in dead on the weight or under just to prove a point because i dont believe for one second that Mayweather cant make at least 140! But thats just my opinion guys.

Well I've seen the video and it seems so... now I wonder how much of his purse he'll have to sacrifice for arriving 2 pounds over the limit, which is damn lot around the welterweight division.

It's apparently 300k a pound mate. So 600k and the 5 million he is paying the IRS, not a great week for Floyd.

Nothing was ever officialy announced it was all speculation apparently. Keith Kizer said Maywether was right it was a Welterweight fight with no side agreement/penalty for coming in 144
Everyone heard 144, I read 144 in many articles and once all bets are made and the fight is paid for.........Floyd is fighting at his ideal weight! Well fuck me!
Even the 24/7 mentioned the 144 weight anyway, so shut up, sit the fuck down, and watch Floyd beat another cherry picked poor fucker who has EVERYTHING againsed him.
Run with it, bitch tits!
Where was the big deal made? Where was the protest? Who said anything???? Did the commissioner demand a re-weigh? Did Marquez sign the contract? You dont think that was planned? I have never seen a weigh in as nonchalant as that for someone who missed weight.. No one on the stage gave a fuck no one uttered a peep
Answer me those questions intelligently and i'll gladly give reverence to your usual slagging and shiit talk
Dont mouth off to me you prick, you disrespected a whole lot of people with your big mouth on this thread and I called you on it!!! So man up you eunuch and admit your fukwitted mouth went to far this time
LOL, yeah I went off on one last night because the catchweight of 144 seemed like the only fair bit of the deal for Marquez and people were saying it's no big deal, I still think it's bullshit that the fans found this out the night before the fight.
Anyway sorry if I offended you (or anyone else) I was raging mad as you can probably tell. My bad
Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
...not very professional on Floyd's part, perhaps there is trouble with him or in his camp
Re: Anybody have weigh-in information
Lets face it, the 24/7 program is pure bullshit facade to sell tickets. Floyd said he knows what weight he is every morning he steps out of bed without getting on the scales.
That aside, he either has struggled to shed a little extra weight and shit himself close to fight night and had to arrange for the contract to be changed due to that, or, he's gotten worried / has been worried about JMM right from the start and his camp have taken the sneaky but clever decision to hold onto a couple of pounds just to make sure of the advantages and lose a little capital . Hell, he'll make that back in an instant with A fight against PACballs....
I'm hopin he struggled to get down to the weight full stop and had to even run/steam/shit off a couple pounds more even to reach 146. That makes him a little drained right. Anywasy, makes for a more interesting fight night, and heres to hopin my man JMM wipes the smiles clean off of his face.....

If indeed Floyd comes in around 149 on fight night, that's not a massive difference to figting a 145lb Pac like JMM did in their 2nd fight.
In that sense you are right, but Pac did make the contracted weight come the weigh in.
Welterweight limit is the contract with a built in deterrent over 144lbs
The contract was SIGNED for 144 pounds with penalties for coming in higher. Floyd applied to increase the weight a couple of days before the fight. If welterweight was the limit, then why would he have to apply to raise it? Why would he even need Marquez's consent?
Would Marquez try to come in higher if he knew Mayweather (or the actual weight limit) would come in at 146-147? Marquez was building muscle up to 144, not 147. The more you look at it, the more it looks like Marquez was duped to come in at the lower weight. Almost like a bribe. On weigh in day, 4 pounds is a lot as opposed to on the day of the fight.
Marquez might be a brave warrior, but he is giving up a lot against the best boxer out there today. I just hope it's a better fight than it will be. Floyd, when he gets Marquez in trouble in th early rounds, will be able to put him away as opposed to Manny and Diaz, who could not.

Read this article. There were so many suspicious shenanigans going on that one can't help but feel there's something wrong about the whole thing.
