Never seen much of Green but he looked really scary in the weigh-in for RJJ. He genuinely looks like he means business....
Mate Hopkins would destroy Danny Green, Green fights in straight lines has no speed, Hopkins would make him look silly It would be a total shut out, just as bad as the Pavlik fight.
Go watch Green against Mundine he was totally confused and embarrased in that fight and that was Mundine.

That's the thing about Hopkins. People always go on about him getting better and that he keeps beating top fighters. Personally, I just see an old man with an ugly style who outside of beating Tarver (who hasn't beaten anyone since) hasn't really beaten anyone in his own weight class for nigh on half a decade. Winky and Pavlik were never anything more than MW's and they were fighting at LHW. And Calzaghe outworked Hopkins fair and square (though not quite so fair on Hopkins part).
Hopkins is the same old Hopkins, it's just that he holds more to catch a breather. It is pretty impressive that he can do that, but I find the adulation of Hopkins a bit much TBH. Especially when in his prime his record stands on staying in his own division as long as possible, only beating smaller men who were moving up. But it's okay for everyone to hate on Calzaghe for staying at SMW though. Calzaghe eventually moved up and won a few fights and had the sense to retire rather than continue and only fight men who would run up two weight classes outside of their comfort zones to fight him. But of course, Hopkins is only ever getting better.
I tend to agree , BHop is held in such adulation and personally I find his style boring these days. The same people who are poo pooing Green on here today are the ones who were giving him no chance, now they give him no chance against other suggested names. All I would say is watch what you wish for, if Green gets matched against your favourite don't go crying if they get sparked out, no excuses about RJJ and age etc etc , he got tagged and lost simple.
I agree that Green can be made to look very bad and runs out of ideas, despite one example being "only" Mundine.
Choc is a lazy SOB who won't step up but don't play down his talents, he can be a capable fighter. As for Greens next move, hope it's a big pay day for him and another win that will silence the critics, or if he fought BHop would the BHop fans flip flop and start banging on about how he beat an older man and not the legend of old blah blah.

As long as you don't overrate Green off the Roy Jones win and completely neglect all of his other fights then you shouldn't have a problem.
Re: Jones V Green RBR u want?
I think Bhop was right on the money when he said if these Aussies want to play for real come over and jump into the deep end of the pool with the real belts being contended. Come to America fight your way up like everyone else does or talk to the hand cause we dont need you.
That should be a good wake up call to all Australian boxers!
I agree we are like the second division down here and only the cream that risies to the top gets any attention at all but with no real substance behind it.
We may as well make a ABO belt and stay at home for what 98% of our fighters are worth on the world view.

Youre right about Choc, lazy and also obsessed with fame and adulation; but you know what: if it was out of him at his best and Green at his best fighting Bhop I would sooner watch him over Green just on the style of fight it could produce.
I've never bought into the glass jaw talk about Mundine; not off that obvious temple shot and his stupidity in posing and turning his head open like he did. He got what was comming to him, is all. Choc must hate his own stupidity every day over that, I recon it would haunt him, he was ahead and could of boxed to a win and what he has always wanted he could of had right then and there.
If he was a real Champ he would of packed up shop, reorgnized his self and headed for the real action.

I have no problem with that at all, I am not a flag waving die hard nationalist blinded by country loyalties. I know Green ain't all that, all I am saying is that neither should he be written off , he is a tough bloke with albeit limited skills but will put you to sleep if you get tagged.
On paper Hopkins either takes him out or gives him a real one sided 12 round ass kicking........but then the same was said of Jones.
Green needs to get his ass on a plane , make some noise stateside while he has the rise in profile for now and start making a nuisance of himself to get a big fight. Hopefully Jones will prove not to be a fluke.

Spot on mate, Mundine if he decided to get his ass in gear would be a more interesting fight against Hopkins. I think he should and may start calling out some names, it will really piss off his ego that Green has a bigger name on his record regardless of Jones' age etc etc.
Choc only stays at home because it's the only place he will get any press and as anu of the Aussie lads will know he takes bad or good, it's all the same to him.
Maybe he should have gone back to league last season !! pisses me off to see talent abused.Like hatton who farts about getting out of shape instead of becoming a bigger name than he did. In the long term he would never have been ATG but would at least be remembered for more than two big ass kickings.
