Pacquiao is for the boxing fans to enjoy, not just Filipinos.
It may take some time before someone of Pacman's caliber comes along and it may not even be in our lifetime.
It's comments like that, the reason that people want to see him lose.
Pacquiao already lose 3 times so it won't be something new.
The guy went through 8 different weight divisions and that's no easy feat. Do you forsee anybody doing that anytime soon even with the use of a catchweight? Take note that I wrote there that "it may not even be in our lfetime", which implies that I'm not 100% sure. And to think that Manny still appears to be in his prime nearing age 32 when a number of boxers had been considered to be on the downturn in their late 20's.

Last time I looked Clottey was a black fighter.

He started when he was 17, most fighters from well developed countries when they are that age they're amateur and training for the olympics. Floyd won gold gloves at 16 when he was the same size as pac. 106lbs...
Yeah so in that light, yeah its possible that because most countries dont have their young talents thrown into professional fighting at 17. He may well be one of the last.
But from age 16-17 floyd mayweather has gone up the same amount of weight.

I mean no. Course not
VD is no racist, how dare we accuse this man of such.
The man is too retarded to know how to be racist.
Quality over Quantity buddy, I dont give a damn if no other filipino gets a title belt. We got the G.O.A.T.
Re: B. Hopkins: When will Pacquiao fight a Black fighter?
I'd actually be more interested in Manny Pacquiao fighting the winner of Timothy Bradley/Devon Alexander, or Andre Berto. Than someone like Shane Mosley or my boy JMM, i can see Berto or Bradley giving Manny Pacquiao atleast some problems.

The article is about how Hopkins says that
Pac don't fight top black fighters, as in African Americans with that slick style. You know like the Ray Leonard style that B-Hop was talking about.
BTW, just in case someone brings up Lebwaba and
Clottey, they aren't african americans. And I think when B-Hop is talking about a top black fighter, he means black american.
I think the word "top" excludes Clottey even if he is as black as they come. He's Ghanaian btw for the person who said he was Nigerian.

Yes, the Calzaghe comment was quite racist, this one was more ignorance and stupidity. That's right. Hopkins/Pac at a catchweight. Haha, what a freak show! ;D
Re: B. Hopkins: When will Pacquiao fight a Black fighter?
Wow! This thread sure has brought out some raw emotions in people. Well, if there's anything we can all agree on, it's the following:
1. Hopkins is an ATG middleweight, but he says some pretty idiotic things. Is he racist? Maybe. Then again, maybe he just says those stupid things to create controversy and piss people off. Is he a jackass? Pretty much. Hopkins fans need to get a grip. He might be an ATG, but he's still an idiot.
2. We got a lot of hardcore nationalistic fans on this forum (count me among them). That's not a BAD thing, well.... it IS when it interferes with your objectiveness. Of course, I don't let that happen to me. I'm ALWAYS objective (ha ha).
3. Some countries just have a better boxing history and record than others. That's just a fact. Nothing personal, nothing racist about it. Just a plain fact. Like Brazil having the best soccer history in the World Cup. You know... stuff like that. Facts are facts.
and finally...
4. This place is a lot more fun when there's a lot of arguing and trash-talking going on.
;D

There will only be one of any fighter. It just means that his country may start to develop younger fighters as amateurs and form an olympic boxing team. And they wont have to worry about being kayoed as teenagers.
