first fight was going to have some fireworks but it was stopped for the cut. Then Faragon (prospect) tears up Terry. Then Coleman is able to drop Paris but Paris's bodywork and overall heavier hands are too much in a darn good fight.
FNF proved tonight that if you have guys matched pretty well (and they have a decent amount of skill) then you end up with something worth watching.
It has been a pretty good year for FNF.
My boy Kermit is on FNF next week, that should be fun, maybe he can find someone to beat for a change.
I am SHOCKED Cintron is back in the ring so fast. He really looked like a disinterested guy in his last fight.
Good for Kermit!

That's quite a look Cubias has going on.

Nice to see the mutual respect after the fight. Just what I like, complete unadulterated trash-talk pre-fight & respect afterwards ;D
Agreed. Coleman needs to learn to move his feet if he can't punch harder.
Paris looks ready for a Zab/Holt/LaMont kind of guy doesn't he? Don't know if he wins, be'd compete with those guys wouldn't he?
I'd match him with Mike Alvarado, who isn't young at 31, but is just outside the top 10 and is a good fighter. showtime would grab that fight in a second. Or look at 10th ranked prospect Danny Garcia.
Works for me!
Alvarado has a following in Denver if my brain isn't going. Thus you have a built in crowd for a shobox event.

I may never root for someone like I will Antwone Smith next week. As long as he hasn't got a stomach bug again (who decides to fight when they're suffering chronic diahroea), then I'm picking him to upset Cintron.

Yeah, rather interesting. I shaved my head about a month ago and I had the wife give me a mohawk that I kept for one night (didn't go anywhere) before she shaved that off.
I never would have thought about going anywhere with a hairdo that looks like it is out of the movie, The Road Warrior, but I guess everyone is different.

Nunez threw some nice left hooks earlier. Saw a left hook body and then a left hook immediately up top. Pretty nice.

We went from erectile disfunction ads to remote control helicopters. Is boxing appealing to a younger audience now?

And heck the adds were in English!
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Cubias just looks totally shell shocked.
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Well I'm out, it's nearly 4am here & I gotta be up at 8. Still far too hyped from Paris-Coleman, great great fight.
Night all.

well most of them ha!
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
The last thing I think Cintron needs is a highly visable platform this soon, let alone deserve it. He needs to take a tomato can off air and shake that rust, and regain some confidence. Its not gong to erase the spanking he took last time out. He looked empty. You can only go to the well so many times
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Sergio is pretty good.
Anybody got a highly fit, very courageous, bob and weave heavy hidden away somewhere?

I used to have my wife shave my head, but she tended to get a little rough with the razor, so for the last 5-6 years, i've done it myself. :-X
