Is he racist in the sense that he'll make racist remarks and has some prejudices, probably, most people are. Is he racist in the sense that he believes black people are subhumans and should be slaves, doubt it. Shitty thing to do but who the f knows I'm not in the dude's head...Also in another sport this might be a huge deal but in boxing we routinely root for less than savory characters..
You don't root for Broner...;D
Or any american fighter............of a certain hue.

I'm not so sure mate, associating blacks with monkeys is pretty universal. Russia is pretty famous for being a racist country, I can only remember specific incidents from football at this moment of time but they have thrown bananas at black footballer and chanted monkey sounds at them.. I would be amazed if kovalev was not aware of the racial element to his post, it seems to be a fairly standard racist insult in russia... Whether that makes him an actual racist or not is another matter, he might have just made a bad call on the humour front.

You're what is known in internet circles as a troll I think, and I guess you have succeeded in your job as you have elicited a response from me. Plenty of fighters with a certain "hue" that I have rooted for in the past and present, currently; Tim Bradley, Crawford, Errol Spence, just to name a few, as for the past to many to list. I don't care about a fighters race, but you go on believing that I'm racist I could give a shit less since you're clearly not the brightest and just out here to bait and not actually debate.
