Number 1... how the hell is Peter supposed to avoid hitting Toney in the back of the head when Toney repeatedly was doing his "bows"? (As you so well put it).
Also, Peter WAS actually pulling back quite a bit to avoid getting penalized for that. Otherwise, he would've taken Toney out a long time ago.

I agree, I mean I'm not saying this in a bad way or aimed to degrade Toney. I'm just saying I'm a boxing fan 1st and foremost and to see him get beat like that. It was just obvious.

1. He can't hurt ANY Heavy. regardless of how hard he throws.
2. He can't fight full rds. I mean IMO even the most limited Heavy. would beat him.
3. His weight IS the biggest issue he just can't get it down. Reminds me of Bowe.....

And what was this bullshit about conditioning? His output was probably lower than the last fight. Here was a valid opportunity to turn up 10 pounds lighter and be more elusive and use decent handspeed to good effect.

He beat him AGAIN...fair & square & he outboxed an "in shape" better conditioned fighter this go around...so not gotdam excuses.

Peter is here. Respect him...beause I think that he did well & I am proud of the most unrefined heavyweight in the game...be that as it may...he boxed beautifully.

In the heat of the moment I was blaming Toney and his lack of output and no obvious sign of condition improvement, but you are right that Sam Peter deserves his props for showing improved skills and getting a difficult job done.

He is a match for all bar Wlad at the moment, but a few fights down the line I might even be pushing Peter to have a chance..

Boxing can make you old overnight, and that's what happened to Toney. He had nothing. I scored it 119-108. 11 rounds to 1 for Peter, with a two-point round in the 2nd because of the knockdown, which was caused by a jab surprisingly enough. The only round I gave to Toney was the 3rd.

I had Toney winning the first fight 8 rounds to 4, but he did none of the things last night that he did in the first fight. Toney's days as a serious contender are over IMO and he should call it a career, because it's been a very good, maybe great, career. I'm sure he'll keep fighting though.

I did get a laugh out of Toney claiming that he won and it was a bad decision. Way to lose gracefully.

Okay...so the dust has settled, the alcoholic haze diminished a little into the mist of the hangover, and now I am demanding MORE! Has nayone found highlights of this fight anywhere? Is it on youtube?
