I'm not saying he would ebat Floyd but he wuld be a tougher test then the gys Floyd has been facing.
Totally agree...but don't start saying that Floyd's dodging him...because believe me...he aint.
Floyd called on Cotto & Cotto said he wasn't ready...I think that was about 2-3 years ago...whenever Floyd fought Brusseles.
Of course, Mayweather says that but behind the curtains he doesn't. Cotto has been following him since the beggining.
2-3 years ago Cotto was 22. Why not fight him now that he's 26 and mature? why try to fight him when he's a kid? Mayweather isn't stupid. He knows wuz up!

CC back Wack my man. You're right,Clottey was injured, but Tony went into that fight with a wrist and ankle injury and still won. Tony,100% fit,is a wrecking machine at 147. Trust me. Most wouldnt see it as 50-50 because they under rated Tony. But styles make fights and his style is the right one to beat Cotto. His size and stamina would make the fight hard for Cotto. I HAVE HAVE to see the fight!! I ned Tony to beat PW!!

Come on Sal Judah was taking a beating he only won about about 3 or 2 rounds thats it Cotto was great tonight he will beat Hatton now no doubt and thing that surprised me is how many blows Judah took he showed heart and a good chin in this fight but come on Sal your boy took a beating and you should be proud because for once in his career he showed heart and balls.

Yea well done Wacko cc and im glad we had an excellent night of boxing really happy this is first live fight like i said i've watched in ages and i was getting goosebumps when watching Judah vs Cotto because it could of gone either way at first but we have a new star props to both fighters for an excellent fight.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
cc Wack, thanks - one of your best RBRs yet. Looks like you're learning how to handle the booze ;D

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Well from what I've read, Judah did himself proud this time. Im a little bummed he lost, but I gotta give Cotto props. I havent seen the fight yet so I cant comment on any details but he obviously has what it takes to make noise at the top level. He graduated yesterday into the top tier. The best thing about him is he isnt about to retire, you gotta see him if you want to be the best at welter. Some good matchups ahead for him. I hope Judah is ok, it sounded like he took a mean beating. He actually showed some heart this fight ;D He'll be back. Hopefully he doesnt come with a million excuses and takes it like a man.
Oh yeah CC for the RBR Wacko

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Haven't gotten to see the fight yet, but surprised it sounded that exciting, I thought it would be good but didn't expect Judah to last that long. Thought it would be a late stoppage but it sounds like Judah took a lot of punishment.

Cotto was rocked few times it was pretty even exciting fight through first 5 rounds then Cotto start to take over and he gave Judah a beating but Judah fought like a warrior to try and survive but Cotto was too much.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
What was Judah's stradegy? Did he try and trade too much, I thought he would be jabbing and moving. Did he become too stationarty? I was thinking he could move around and frustrate Cotto, but I guess Cotto cut him off? Or wasnt as slow as I thought? I agree with the people talking about Joel being a bad trainer...every time I see him giving instructions, its either bad advice or just sound effects...maybe he should stick to kickboxing? ::**

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Ah that was a gooood fight. Damn I choked...looked down to take a bite off my bacon and cheese burger and I missed the knock down on the 11th. Damn you burger!! Damn you for tasting so good! Damn you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, how can Cotto possibly loose when he had somone wearing a straw hat like that in his corner?! lol
I give props to both Cotto and Super for a great fight. Those Boricuas drank themselves under the table in celebracion :P
Damn you bacon and cheese burger!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes he did keep on outside but Cotto was catching him with his own jab he did trade sometimes with Cotto he done ok and he shook Cotto few times with the uppercut and when you thought Judah was gone he would fireback should alot of balls did Judah it was just after 5th round Cotto had warmed up and that was it Cotto won every round after that except the 7th which was close.

his problem was that he barely threw ANYTHING

Judah has never had high work rate thats why Cotto really started to come on because Cottos workrate shot up in later rounds.
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Did Judah jab much?
I always wonder why Judah doesn't throw his jab more. If he just did that his workrate would be much better, he could steal some rounds, set things up with it, but he just doesn't use it enough.

Yes he did jab but didn't jab with any affect Cottos jab was like a straight left though.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Now what.
Cotto did what he was suppose to do.
So?
Another thing the fight shoulda been stopped and IMO theres no reason why Zab needed to take that much punishment....
I'm a fan of the sport 1st and as much as I hate Zab I couldn't help but yell at my tv in between rounds for Yoel to stop it BUT judging by the talk that he was giving Zab Yoel wasn't stopping that fight no matter what.
Again, theres no reason why Zab shoulda think that much punishment.

Cotto did what I said he would do and thats beat a waaaay past his best, career ending, has been Zab.
I'm happy he won, it was a helluva fight but I knew all along he'd win...
And not sure where your getting the 50/50 from but go into all the threads here and you'll see it's not 50/50 go to the fight news poll NOT 50/50.
Go through my the threads and see what I've said all along.
I repeat; He did what he was suppose to do.

Thats not true Judah was not wayyyyyyyyy past his best at all he looked as good as his ever looked in the past and i didn't mean exactly 50/50 but alot of people had it 50/50 there was no clear winner i picked Cotto to win by 10th round stoppage but there was loads of peeps here that were picking Judah.

If the loss to Baldomir didn't tell you he was done then what will?
Go through my posts Zabs a has been, he was done and waayyy past it.
Fighting 3 good rounds against PBF or for that matter anyone isn't good enough. YOu don't get shit! for fighting a few good rounds, you do however get a lot by wining fights.
Those people that had it 50/50 on a winner only gave Zab about 3 rounds to do it. Now think about it is that REALLY 50/50... I think not....
How can a fight be 50/50 on 3 rds for 1 fighter to do it. When the fights scheduled for 12 rds. that leaves 9 rds. for the other fighter.
50/50..... nah! I think not....

Zab didn't look done against Cotto, he looked pretty good, Cotto just beat him. I think he could win another title at 147.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Zab Judah isn't done.... he just isn't the fighter people thought he could be. The Zab I saw against Cotto was similar to the Zab I've been watching for years.... flashes of effectiveness, but never enough consistency to win a big fight.
Zab is today exactly what he was before last weekend... a top 10 welterweight. Nothing more, nothing less.

He done well against p4p number 1 thats pretty good achievement and this was as good as Judah has ever looked in the past and showed the most heart he has ever shown in the past that shows you how much he trained and how much this fight ment to him this was one of the best Judah performances.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Whilst I think quite a few people here tought Zab might win,I would not call it a 50-50 fight. IF Cotto had lost,it would have been a shock to me. I still think Torres gave Miguel his toughest fight to date and as for Zab,it's the same Zab we've been seeing for years albeit it sounded like he prepared as well as he could have done. Zab also showed more heart than before and gets kudos from me for that.

yeah but as we've seen Torres sucks. was beat by Arnaoutis. And Kendall Holt should beat him unless he gets caught AGAIN!!! ::**
I think the Torres fight was just a case of Cotto making the fight more difficult for himself then it needed to be.

Regardless of what the situation,at the end of the day,Miguel had a much much more difficult time with Torres than with Zab.

Totally agree Mick. Zab,heart aside, didn't show me much. He threw that looping uppercut which Cotto should not have been caught with because even I could see it coming from a mile away and the odd straight left hand and.......
This fight, although showing Zab does have some heart, also showed him limitations to the MAX. He is not an A grade fighter and does not belong with the elite. He is now 1-4 at WW(I think),thats far from impressive.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Judah has never been that active though he always has low workrate.

Think SweetPea nailed it here. Judah is a guy who will always present problems but the best welterweights fight through them. He had a good first round, and then got swept out.
The fight went pretty much exactly as I expected it to. Not going to thumb through post but I really believed Zab was going to get beat up, and he did. He gave Cotto problems, but no way did I think this was an even matchup and to be honest I got a little annoyed when everyone thought Judah was being sold short. He wasn't, that is Judah. The Judah that lost to Cotto, I really do believe is the same Judah that beat Spinks and lost to Tszyu. It's just Zab.
Congrats to Cotto, I knew he would win over a lot of fans and he did. Still think he looked better in the Quintana fight though, he got caught coming forward which is something Quintana couldn't do and I thought most fighters wouldn't be able to do.
Still, looked great even on Youtube. Been saying this for a while now but...
Mayweather - Cotto 08 8)

And yeah, I'm ecstatic for Cotto because I feel at this point the sky is the limit. Or at least Floyd is the limit. I think right now, with Floyd at 154, that Cotto is the best welterweight on the planet.

PBF got hit in the ball followed with a punch to the back of the head and still won a fight.
Go figure? ???

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
This fight is why I still love boxing. Two men with balls of steal, not afraid of hitting and getting hit. Each wanted to impose his will. Action packed every round. I am now a fan of both. Cotto - one of the most exciting fighters in the world...he is scary...very patient and effectively wears his opponent down...I mean you hit him hard and he just keeps on going! Judah- I think he still has a lot to show the boxing public..he is very fast (people say faster than Mayweather)...he just got beat...let us see how he takes his medicine and move on...he definitely has the talent and possibly now the heart of a fighter.
I must admit I felt a bit cheated with the Mayweather OLDH fight. It was a good fight but far from what I saw last Saturday.
Cotto Mayweather should happen! Pacman Soto or Pacman Marquez should happen!

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Cotto was amazing. I was really pleased he stopped him. I think he's by far the best option for PBF, but I think Cotto would win. I've said ever since I saw him fight Corley that I felt Cotto would grow into a world class fighter that could beat PBF. Cotto vs. Hatton would be a great fight, but as much as I love Hatton, I don't think it'd be one he'd win.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Alright my friends...it's been an honor & my pleasure to hold this one down. Cotto made this a bang up match & basically everyone was pleased...cept the Judah fans on here...all one SAL of them! ;D
Anywho...the weekend is almost here & now that we are up & running it's time to crank out another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...
Cheers & koneecheewah bitches.
