Agreed Skel. Lyle, your players as individuals are not boring, but as a team, you definitely are. Arsenal won 3-1 yesterday, lovely performance away from home,at a tough place. Most were predicting a draw,so was nice to win! O0

Man U play some excellent football. Arsenal, probably better than any team in the world. But Tottenham ??? Bullshat!!
If your objective is to score 1 and concede 2 then yeah, great football! ::**

It was 7 mate and they were playing Derby County so really it was the whole team against a shit keeper. Secondly It's Football when you're referring to the English game and 3 why do you support Liverpool if you're from America? says it all really like.Quote:

Fuck ARSE-nal....Liverpool is my team and I don't cheer for anybody else in the EPL.
Liverpool play with heart and they play to win every game....you want boring soccer watch the MLS!
Go watch the way United Arsenal and Spurs play especially away from home, they play football, they try to create chances through pace interchanging passing and movement, not like Liverpool who like the big punt up field to the left or right side of the field with there over packed midfield feeding off the scraps, im not saying its not succesful to a degree, but Spurs play much more expansive pleasing to the eye football than Liverpool.Quote:

...I'm not saying the MLS is on par with the Premier League or anyone else....but for people to say that Liverpool is boring....they don't know boring until they have watched either the MLS or God forbid the Mexican leaguesQuote:

At the end of the day mate, i respect your a Liverpool fan and you do know your shit. Dont get me wrong Liverpool can play some great football and exciting to boot just look at the Champions League Final in 2005 one the most exciting games i have ever seen, but i dont think Rafa's philosophy is anyway similar to Ferguson or Wenger who try and play football in a diifferent way. Liverpool have had there good days with this style of play and are still one of the best teams in europe, but look at Chelski they have been one the most succesful teams in the last 3/4 years and there manager was sacked because the style he adopted even though very succesful on the whole wasnt seen as exciting enough for the so called Fans and chairman alike.Quote:

Not lately though, they really are getting it right.Quote:

And to say that Liverpool play long ball is just ignorant. Chelsea are far more liable to play long ball because (rightly) they play accoring to their stregths (Drogba, the fwockin beast!).
Gerrard is the only player at the moment who is in love with the long ball because he is in a world of his own. I love what he has done for us but IMO he isnt a team player.
When we play best, we own the offside trap, we move the ball quickly through midfield and focus on sneeking our fullbakcs into some nice positions. We've always suffered with our width further up the pitch but ive never seen us resort to long ball ???
....So sorry I don't have the funds to jet set around the fucking globe.Quote:

So I take it you're a boxing fan since you're on this forum, well how many fights have you seen in person and are the people you saw the only fighters you are a fan of?
If so, you're retarded and if not you can shut it because you're being a hypocrit.
I haven't gone personally to a Carolina Panthers football game, I guess BY YOUR RATIONAL that means I can't cheer for the team in my home state....I only went to Carolina Hurricanes games when they were here in Greensboro so I guess now that they moved to Raleigh I can't cheer for them.
Get off your fucking soap box...when I become a fan of anyone I go all out. I've been a fan of the Boston Red Sox since the day I was born and I have watched all their games and knew all their players and I have only just started to make plans to go see them play in Fenway....does that make me not a true Red Sox fan? If that was the fucking case the Sox would have the smallest fan base in the world because Fenway only seats 38,805 people! And yet I cheer for them whether they win the World Series or they don't even make the playoffs, I am a Red Sox fan and no one will ever change that.
As for Liverpool, I don't cheer for United or Chelsea or Everton or anyone else I only cheer for Liverpool and for an American I do believe I know a good deal about the sport and the team so I am not a fair weather fan and I never have been.
You can feel however you want to feel about me being a Liverpool fan and it's not going ot change anything, I watch them on TV, I follow them on this thing called "the internet", and I own 2 Liverpool jerseys.....and maybe I'll take another trip to Europe sometime and when I get to Anfield or the new stadium they are going to build, look for the big drunk American in the Reds jersey and if you have a problem with me we'll fix it but until then....I guess you'll have to fume about my support of the 'Pool all the way over where ever you are.
I don't give a shit what you think bro
Gerrard isn't a team player??? I declare shennanigans on that! He gives all he has for every match, he's the leader out there on the pitch and Liverpool would be lost without him....mainly because midfield is as shallow as the striker situation last year....anytime Pennant and Kewell are close to being starters it's time to get some more midfieldersQuote:

Rafa wanted Torres and Kuyt and he had the idea the long ball would work for them and to some point he's correct but by playing the long ball he's leaving some guys out of the mix on the attack....I know you don't want to rely on guys like Riise to score goals but I can't remember the last time he had a shot on goal.
*Granted the strategy of soccer is something I am still learning the ins and outs of so if I get something wrong don't brow beat me and tell me I know nothing about it....if I don't know anything about it then there is the opportunity for someone ot explain it to me so either explain it or say I have it right, don't give me a bunch of shit about it.....I am not a fucking soccer coach so there's a lot I don't know about
Whipping, not ripping ;)
Otherwise though i do see your point. Gerrard is Liverpool really, but there are times (Like the Everton game as a key example) were you can see that Gerard sometimes (at the wrong times) has his own agenda.
Maybe its down to him not being developed in the right way. Him being our best player by far has given him the right to do what he feels. He's too instinctive for me.
On the other hand maybe we line up with the wrong formation ???
Personally, id like to see how we play with wing-backs.
http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w.../wingbacks.jpg
This way the midfield is stable, Gerrad has attacking freedom, Riise & Arbloa's abilities are highlighted and there is less chance of the 'last fullback' not getting the offside trap right.
Jesus Christ calm down bro, my hatred is aimed at Liverpool not you. I'm a massive Everton fan and had a season ticket for 4 years and if you are a big Liverpool fan you will have seen the derby (Everton v Liverpool) which happened around a month ago and Everton got cheated simple as. In regards to you living 3000 miles away supporting Liverpool I said that because you are the most typical Liverpool fan, you won't know cause you havn't been to Liverpool but the fans are from everywhere Irish, Turks, Swedes, Yanks, Danish bla bla bla.Quote:

So thats why I get pissed off because I hate Liverpool so F****** much In truth I think they're cheating a*** little twats especially Steven Gerrard. But what I have seen you know your knowledge of the Premier League so well done for that ;D
Have a:coolclick: bro after further reflection Lyle, sos man you know a lot of stuff especially for an American really and your a worthy footie fan and If i weren't an Evertonian I wouldn't blame you for supportuing Liverpool, no hard feelings bro eyy??:beerchug:
.....I guess I can agree to disagree, cc
So you were basically in a bad mood because Everton sucks, and that's forgiveable, if I was an Everton fan I'd feel angry too ;D
WTF???"?!?"?"?!?!?!?!?!?!
A Liverpool and an Everton fan CC'ing each other and finding some common ground????
I DEMAND YOU RESUME HOSTILITIES IMMEDIATELY
For fuck's sake this isn't some Middle Eastern conflict, it can't be resolved by talking. Now get back to scrapping and arguing.

It's a shame when you are an EPL team and your best player is an American goal keeper not named Tony Meola or Brad Friedel
....Do you know who the LA Clippers are??? That's the American version of Everton
Its Mikel Arteta by the way man and Howard's better than Friedel.
.....you just admitted an American is good at soccer ;D
And when you say "There's nobody better than Mikel Arteta".....you mean just on Everton right? Because he's not even top 5 in the city of Liverpool
Take a look at this then LOSER there is no one better than him as at the north west players award for the north west teams in the Premiership (Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool, Blackburn, Bolton, Man City) the semi-finalists for the best player were Steven Gerrard, Mikel Arteta, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo and MIKEL ATETA FROM EVERTON WON SO THERE REALLY IS NOBODY BETER THAN MIKEL ARTETA HE'S THE BEST LITTLE SPANIARD WE KNOW AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH have that.Quote:
