It's time for both fanbases to give the other side credit.

Floyd fans (like myself) need to give Hatton his due. He was very game and left everything he had in the ring. A lot of fighters wouldn't have been able to get up from the huge left hook that caused the 1st knockdown.

Hatton fans need to give Floyd credit where credit is due. He took the challenge, and when he got Ricky hurt, he didn't dance or run, he went for the kill. Also, let's put an end to all the talk about Floyd being nothing but a cocky and arrogant loudmouth. He was EXTREMELY respectful in the postifight interviews, he went out of his way to praise Hatton and the UK fans.

Floyd was a credit to himself with his post fight interview. Floyd fought the better fight and Hatton got too reckless after being told he couldnt afford to lose another round. Hatton had slowed a little and Floyd read Hattons movement to a tee. Great punch. Hatton didnt see it at all.

I hope Hatton can bounce back from this. That may have taken a lot out of him.

What I learnt yestaerday was Floyd Mayweather is the bets fighter in the world BY FAR. You have to admire Ricky Hatton's guts and heart and he will come back stronger, At least he fights the very best in their backyard and moving up to their division.

Good job by PBF. Congrats. He fought in a way that will gain him fans and he is much more tolerable in the fashion he showed. No doubt he is #1 or #2 P4P.

But what we found out, we knew all along. Ricky was and continues to be shitty at 147 (possibly not top 10).

And PBF continues to duck the biggest challenges in the game. Now if he fights a real WW that will be something. Cue COTTO, Clottey, Moseley, Williams. But in all honesty, we WOULD PBF fight Cotto or Mosely? I wouldn't unless I was forced to!

Not hating. I love Hatton and he is the only fight I have gotten to see in person (Uruanga). Hatton got a huge payday and PBF got a respected win.

Much more respect to PBF now.

I was impressed with Mayweather's performance and finishing last night, when he put Hatton down first the shot was immense. He did so well and you gotta take tyour hat off to him.

Once again Mayweather showed why he's the P4P #1, and Hatton showed he's brave and will keep going even when he's getting beat, but Mayweather was simply too good. One more fight then he'll retire I reckon.

To everyone on the thread...I'd like to apologize for my shit work on the last 3 or 4 rounds...I was boozin & partially snoozin & with all the cheering in the background...I slipped...what can I say...from here on out it's gonna be just Wacko's Round by Round & I'll do me drankin' after I'm done thinkin'!

Anywho...unbelieveable show by Floyd.

That's all I've got to say about that...the man's P4P Undisputed the Greatest in the World.
