Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
115-114 Bradley for me. Anyone saying robbery needs to watch it again, it was close and a fight of 2 halves.
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
Well Bradley can say he got a victory decision against Pacquiao since Morales did it. I always thought Floyd would be the one to do it.
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
well that was one crappy decision if i have ever seen one. I had it 10 rounds to 2
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
And now ESPN is saying a majority of people ringside scored it 11 rounds to 1 for Pacquiao.
Damage control is happening now because they are trying to salvage a Mayweather fight.
They really REALLY want to see Pacquiao massacred so that boxing could be in the public eye again....
Pacquiao should do the smart thing and retire and say he's "sick of the corruption of the sport of boxing and that things need to change." so everyone can make him a saint again ;D
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
I dont really care for the decision anyway. Or even for the sport at this point.
I just wanted to point out that people who said Bradley won this fight clearly were also the ones that said JMM clearly got robbed in all the fights. lol

Punched Bradley in the face repeatedly while making him miss?
I don't remember seeing much of that. :-\
Then you are blind.
You really think Manny won rounds in the second half of the fight? I saw Bradley moving more, using the jab, slipping punches and outworking a Manny who simply wasn't throwing for 2 minutes of every round.
Pac looked great from 2-6 when he was hurting Bradley, but he either fell asleep, got tired, or got confused.
You don't win a fight on hurting someone a few times and not winning the majority of the rounds.
Exactly its alot like ODLH/Trinidad where both ODLH/Pacquiao won there rounds alot clearer. But both Trinidad/Bradley were able to comeback and steal the rounds and make it very close i don't get where all this robbery stuff is coming from. Bradley could of won either of the 1st 2 rounds and then won a majority if not all of the last 6 rounds.
You're both insane. There is no point in debating this.
No i think you and everyone else are going over the top, because your all caught up in drama because it just happened. I have no problem scoring it again in a few days when i get some time and posting a detailed scorecard.
Bradley won the 1st round and then won atleast another 5 or 6 rounds in the 2nd half of the fight, i thought the commentator's were over the top saying Bradley was on the verge of getting stopped total BS.

Hahahahaaha
very few people imagined this.
Too bad for Pac - FLoyd :(
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
I think people need to turn the sound off when watching the hbo version. I feel teh fight was pretty close and Pac took his foot off the gas for the secound half of the fight good for Bradley.
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
I'm sorry but am I the only one who finds humor in the fact that they emphasized so much on Manny going Holy and walking around with a Bible yet in the first fight as Saint Manny he drops a decision? lol
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
On Primetime everyone thought Pac won about 8-4. Usual Pro-Pac type commentary though. TV is brainwashing ya'll if you cant see how Brad won rounds in this fight, was a close fight.

You're not the only one who noticed that.
And you're also not the only one who doesn't really care about the sport any more.

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
Even though I thought pac won I too suggest reviewing the fight on mute. I did give the last 3 and first round to Tim.
-
Wtf was that? Utter bullshit, I've been robbed of £15.
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
I guess punch stats aint worth shit. This is like some fight night champion shit. Majority of Bradley's punches were hitting glove. But maybe I'm blind

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
Bottom line is and we need to move on.....Manny and Mayweather has slipped us by, and they let it happen. They are both not at best now. Honestly...screw em
In a way the one thing this does do is shake up the dynasty and sport. Not the worst call I've seen put into perspective.. rewatch will be interesting

The people Bulldog is referring to have been rabid anti-Pacquiao cheerleaders for many years.

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
I tuned in from round 7 and missed the first part of the fight. Looked to me like Bradley was edging out pacquiao, and in the last 3 rounds outboxing him. Those last few rounds all pacquiao was doing was plodding forward and having trouble with a moving target.
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
For once they gave the close rounds to someone that was not Pac that whats surprised me the most. As for Mayweather fight why do people want to see it Mayweather going to kill him in there lol.

Ah I see, I am a fan of fighters but I can respect a defeat, I don't think it puts a stain on their greatness, Ali lost, Foreman lost, Luis Lost, Vitali Lost, Jones lost, Sweet Pete, and many many more.. lost but all great to me.
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
Maybe at the last 6 rounds Tim landed some shots, but clearly not outclassed and outscored Pac. I am not a Pac fan but this is ridiculous. BTW, nice one Arum!

Yes exactly right, as for other comments in this thread. I don't hate Pacquiao at all i like him as a fighter, but i call it as i see it. I don't let favourtism cloud my judgment. Im not even a fan of Bradley, and i like Pacquiao more than Bradley.

For some reason I'm getting into hockey now and trying to learn all that I can about the sport. It has to do with the Kings amazing run. Hockey is Less corrupt, plenty of good action, and also a sport that can be very violent at times just like boxing. Hockey is starting to be my next favorite sport after American football.

You live in LA, right?
I used to be a massive hockey fan, I probably watched or listened to 95% of the Vancouver Canucks games for about a decade, but my interested took a nose-dive this year. Probably something to do with watching a bunch of morons try to burn down their city because of a sport.

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
I saw a close fight that could of gone either way. I wouldnt of called it a robbery. And pac fans cant complain after JMM has been robbed 3 times.
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
Make of it what you will
"Can you believe that? Unbelievable," promoter Bob Arum said. "I went over to Bradley before the decision and he said,
"I tried hard but I couldn't beat the guy." Said bradley
"I'm going to make a lot of money on the rematch, but this was outrageous," Arum said.
-
Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
This wasn't a near shutout fight. People should stop that. I didn't buckle down down and judge the fight from a judge's perspective but I did have Pac winning this fight but it was close. Much closer than what people are seeing or wanting to admit. I saw 7-5 Pac maybe 8-4. The HBO crew is the the crew that should be ignored. Its ridiculous how they are so bias throughout the rounds and for the rounds. Their continual bias towards certain fighters mislead people into things in a round that just aren't there or is a very one sided story. I really think people see more of what they want to see. But I can get on board with people seeing Pac winning clear enough like 8-4ish. Is ther anyone on this forum, or anyone for that matter, who thought Pac nearly shut out Bradley also thought JMM won against Pac last time out?

House money is what I took from that. He's actually overjoyed. ESPN is running with the robbery angle which will make the rematch big and when Pacquiao wins it they can act like this loss never happened while getting the money from the fans twice and probably in a larger amount in this rematch to bring more casuals in. Arum isn't mad lol he's just a sales genius.

I had JMM wining 2 out of the 3 fights with pac, yet i scored the fight 10-2 in favour of pac.
Will say Bradley finished stronger last couple of round compared to the rest of the fight. Most i could give brad was 3 rounds.

Near LA, like the next county over. Shouldn't let a few moronic fans ruin a sport for you. In the NHL at least the best will compete against the best, most fans will give respect to the opposing team that just beat theirs and not make sorry excuses, and the sport although with some problems is much less corrupt than boxing and isn't saddle with politics.

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
yeah yeah, but was it a good action fight??? would a person be happy with buying the PPV???

And you know what bro I can see that. There were some close rounds that maybe swing could swing Pac for a 9-3. But a near shutout is Pac clearly winning 11 rounds or maybe Pac hands down winning 10 but giving Bradley the 2 close rounds. The HBO crew made it seem as though Pac was annihilating Bradley and that they had to find a round to give the man. But I do still think Pac got jobbed not robbed.

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
Even BRADLEY HIMSELF concedes he may have not won the fight.... that he has to watch the tape. I don't know about any of YOU, but I had never seen or heard a winning fighter talk like that.
The whole thing stinks of ineptitude and/or corruption.

Re: Pacquiao vs Bradley Saturday night fight thread
I am as far as a Pacquiao fan as can be.
I watched that fight in a different language.
I saw Pacquaio winning a clear decision. He won just about every round IMO and that robbery was huge.
Might be even a bigger robbery than Pacquiao's last fight.
That fight wasn't even close.
I can't believe that Pacquaio lost.
Like another poster just said it's hard to feel sorry for Pacquiao because of some of his previous fights, and of course his fans.
JMM/Mayweather/Martinez are my favorite boxers.
But I'm not blind and I can honestly say Pacquiao won just about every round quite clearly.

I think the anti Pac jibes are coming my way more than anything. Actually I am surprised at the judges. I was posting round by round how I saw the fight unfolding and thus had it for Bradley. I gave Manny the rounds I thought were his and Bradley his. That's all you can do when scoring a fight. I actually think Marquez beat Manny more convincingly. Bradley eked this one out at the death. Marquez was the one who took his foot off against Manny.

Pretty much agree with your assessment of the fight.
Pacquiao and Bradley round 1 was very close, 2-6 was one sided and you'd figure it's going to go among the same way as the other Pacquiao fights. and then Bradley adapts and turns it all around. He earned this win and he's having all of it discredited by the media. Which is a great shame because he gave a gutsy performance, adjusted and beat Pacquiao he should be getting credit and the fight should be talked about for how great it was and what will can do. But nope...to save face for a Mayweather fight and make double the money in a rematch, it's being billed as a robbery which pretty much discredits any and everything Bradley did and the sad thing is it's the furthest thing from a robbery ive seen in a while.
