Good points from both of you. I think we all forget the fact that Mora has only 19 pro fights. He has soooooo much exposure during and after the Contender that it seems like the guy has been around forever. He still has time to improve. It wasnt solely his boxing that got him all of this exposure, it was a TV show. Like anybody else he is trying to make as much out of this opportunity that he can. With that said I still dont like him.

Hey he worked it right and won it, I think Ishe Smith is a bit of a more naturally talented P4P fighter than Mora, I know he lost but we didn't really get to see it and Ishe's a naturally smaller guy, but Ishe fell off the face of the earth after the Contender. He's just now getting back into the mix.
I think one guy who you could make a case got onto HBO too easily was Paul Williams, he fought practically nobody before the Matthysse fight on BAD, Terrence Cauthen is about it. Taylor's the posterboy for it, he got a HBO date in like his 16th fight against a nobody without fighting anybody before that. Whether he's won or not in his last three fights, he hasn't embarrassed himself and he's proved he belongs, but still early in his career he was the definition of being overhyped.
But I can think of a lot of guys, some even champions, guys like Guzman, Vazquez, Collazo, Rivera, Bell, Guillermo Jones, that aren't talked about as much as Mora. Is a guy like even Glen Johnson talked about as much as Mora? And that's not including European or Asian fighters. What if he wins a championship? It would actually probably be good for boxing, cause he'd get a ton of attention from people whether they loved him or hated him.

All of them have gotten their shots and Mora hasn't even scratched the surface of what they have done.
They were talked about back then and some still talked about now, and right now is Mora's time so it's ok for him to be talked about a lot, he's up and coming and these fighters already had more spots then Mora.

But even if you want to argue exposure, you could easily say that being on the contender, and because of that drawing big ratings on his ESPN fights, gives Mora much more exposure than, for example, Guzman fighting on HBO Latino or the undercard of some PPV that only big time boxing fans order, or Rivera fighting Garcia on Showtime which is the kind of fight that only hardcore fans watch.
Andre Ward's situation is not what I'm talking about, he obviously has been hyped up from the beginning because of the gold medal. I'll agree on Collazo, his fight with Hatton gave him a lot of exposure, although he's still not talked about as much as Mora.

I liked Mora's boxing ability, on the contender series. I have only seen one of his pro fights. I forget which one though. He shows off too much and it will someday cost him.
