Not really a score line depicting a struggle is it
Ali gets to many props, he was tough but the fighters he struggled with were workers like Norton and Frazier whereas Foreman blasted them out, his style let a hard worker or crowder in to work away
Mike would have had a field day
Tyson did struggle he won 8 rounds to 4 and if Tucker wouldn't have injured his hand after 1st round he could have had better shot Norton gave Ali trouble because he had weird style and Ali used to love guys like Tyson who come right at him so he could dance throw jab then when they got close hold then repeat ect.Quote:

Thats an 8 point difference, in his eyes Mike lost one round
You have to be a certifiable insane person to even mention Tyson in he same breath as Ali. Ali is legend...Tyson ultimately has become a side show freak. The evidence is right there for all of you to see: the only two great fighters Tyson faced in his career (Lewis and Holyfield) handed him his a**. It's true that that Tyson might now have been "prime" at that point...but ultimately that is all the evidence we have of him against great competition. And yet some people believe that he can face one of the greatest athletes and mentally toughest/smartest boxers that has ever lived in Ali...and would beat him. That's funny.
a prime ali would would beat 90s tyson, tyson was only good for about 5 rds...
.....prime match up im picking tyson, ali didnt have the power to ko tyson over 12 and alis defence if you notice he didnt go side to side he went straight back and tyson would catch him i see ali going down but surving 12 on the run....tyson ud
Non of this is to hate on Mike, because like a lot of people i grew up watching him fight. But ultimately Tyson was a mentally troubled person. So it's frustrating to hear people always say "Well. that wasn't prime Tyson." Tyson in the early part of his career got by with his tremendous power (and not to mention some shoddy opposition) and the guidance of Gus. But you got the sense that he was always a ticking time bomb. He was just not mentally fit or strong. I just could not see him prevail against a great, smart fighter.
i think lewis would give ali fits
In both there primes i think Lewis beats Ali , because he is so much bigger ,
This is why comparing fighters from different era's is hard.
you can only be as good as the time in which u fight.
id also give the cruiser - everly heavyweight Holyfield who was fast and busy a shot at a prime Ali.
As for Tyson i think any fighter who fought him back would stop him.
ALI is the most overated boxer of all time. he would have got his butt kicked by lewis, tyson, mccall etc.Quote:

Liston and Foreman Slow and powerful with 0 defense.... Tyson was Explosive with speed and power with nice compact punches along with superb head movement and ability to slip a punch quite easily.Quote:
