These aren't facts, they're just your opinion, and why should we listen to somebody who's continually wrong about Calzaghe? You told us Kessler was going to beat him. You told us Hopkins was going to beat him and acted like a little kid after Joe won, claiming Hopkins won the fight. Then you told us Jones was going to knock him out.
Calzaghe fought Glen Johnson? When? He rematched Reid? When? When exactly did he travel into Germany for the Ottke fight? What I posted were facts. Not opinion. And this is coming from a huge Calzaghe fan as you know
Hopkins did beat Calzaghe. Calzaghe knows it himself. Why you think he's saying no to the rematch? Jones had the tools to stop Calzaghe. He just didn't have the age any more. And Kessler lack of heart was a disappointment. I was wrong to back Kessler. That I will admit was a mistake.
There is only 3 to 4 yrs difference with Cal & jones not 15 so come on be fair, if JC beat an old man up then its fair to say that its one old guy beating up another not some fresh faced savage kid agains a pensioner...but clutching at straws comes to mind...Hopkins did not beat JC bud the records state it & the majority of the voters on the forum agree with it....
Mate just because you & a few others thought he won dont change the history...Hopkins was a disgrace against Cal in my opinion ... and on his head butt & fein low blows embarrassment he dont deserve a re match ... the guy was embarrassing to many of us becvause of his shocking tactics ....
There has just been a pole in one of the threads on who really won that fight & it was massive in JCs favour ... the judges deemed he lost, & the majority of the boxing world did too ... end of..
Dont forget bud you hate JC & I really think it clouds ya judgement re the guy ... good to see ya back posting tho as you always shake things up & tell it as only you can ...
But ya still wrong:lolololol:

Even though i was only young at the time, i seem to remember Sven Ottke. Wanting no part of Joe Calzaghe at all, Sven Ottke's reign was a farce he had atleast 8 controversial decisions, maybe he didn't deserve to lose all of them but i'd say. He atleast lost 50 percent of them.

Glen Johnson was roughly as good as Clinton Woods who Calzaghe would have done a Jeff Lacy on. Calzaghe didn't fight him because of injuries not because he was worried about losing to him. Reid and Ottke wanted nothing to do with him, both were offered fights. And if you're honest you'd admit you backed Lacy against him but you hate Calzaghe so much you can't admit it. :)
And Hopkins had to cheat in the tenth round because he couldn't keep up with Calzaghe. He lost the fight and you just can't face it and you can't face that you were wrong about Roy Jones too. And you hate Calzaghe so much that you're now knocking Kessler when you used to tell us how good he is. Pathetic. :)
I like how johnson mentions Joe pulled out 3 times against him, the 3rd time was on the condition he could beat Clinton Woods (shouldn't be a difficult task if you're world class operator). He should also be glad that Joe was injured, he would hardly have got fighter of the year if he'd have a UD loss against JC than two wins against ill prepared fighters.

He should have been fighting fighters in the world top ten when he was Super middle champ i think he wasted his best years ive said it this already but Frank Warren said himself that Joe pulled out of 10-12 good fights he lined him up he also said that if it weren't for himself and Joe's dad he was gunna pull out vs Lacy. Joe also said in 2006 that he dont need places like Las Vegas and Madison Square Garden they don't interest him then on 24/7 he's saying things like this is what its all about what better way to go out in the Garden the mecca of boxing. Ducked the best ?? to a certain degree yes but more right place right time or coming along at wrong time if he had come along when their was Eubank,Benn,Collins,Toney and Jones in the Super middleweights we could all be saying different things or maybe not talking about him at all.
For Lacy he had a knackered hand, thats the only reason he nearly pulled out ....
& rightly or wrongly with Joe, I think he really believed he was the best & that they should come to him ... but its the round in circles thing again some may agree yet some dont ... opinions again aint it bud ... the re match with Veit he was furious over but had no choice I think Veit had become mandatory at the time & refused to step aside for Joe to take a bigger fight which off hand escapes me ....
But interesting to note that Nigel Benn wished Joe had been around in his day too .. but also went on to say he thinks he woulda still come out on top of the pile tho...
With Joe people will always be divided, but good to see you as a none JC fan not sounding spiteful which is seeming to be the pattern with some of late...
Lol ... but I wrote a message to another member the other night re Joe C, & I was high lighting the comparison of the Monty Python Witch sketch re Joe ...
"He's a witch ...
"No Im not"
"Well ya look like a witch, youve got a big nose & pointed hat",
"Yes but they put them on me"....
"Well did you" ....
"Well yes,we did"
"But hes still a witch so burn him anyway lol"...
Im sure ya get my drift bud ...& I am in no way implying your post does the above but there are a group of Witch hunters out there that just wanna burn Joe anyway..
:badass::badass::badass:
For the record it was Calzaghe's fight with Brian Magee that Mario Veit stopped;);D
Re: Calzaghe ducked the best?
Glen Johnson - for a guy that is supposedly so "unlucky" had the greatest ever bit of luck that Calzaghe was injured.. which led him to the Roy fight - without which he is nothing. ;)

I can see it now,a boxer saying,"You know two hands are overrated"
For somebody who couldn't throw his right hand he threw an awful lot of them during the fight. The hardest punches he hit Calzaghe with were all right hands. It was almost as if there was nothing wrong with his hand at all.
When it was rumoured before the fight i thought it was the left Hand Kessler had hurt.
He probably had an injured left hand as well. Now that I come to think of it Kessler wasn't really throwing punches with either hand so both of them must have been damaged.
