Vic slowed right down after round seven and Arce didn't pick it up. The fight was all over then. A fight of the year contender though.

Sure Wonjongkam ducked everyone, but Vic wanted everyone even Arce at his peak!

Vic wants a Donaire rematch, hell he fought Mijares a P4P'r when no one thought he had a chance & owned his ass! Shaw is the obstacle! Give the man his props... its not like he's Ibragimov & gets scared to throw punches when he gets in the ring!

Both fighters today earnt respect.
People are cut cause they want to see the Vic mouth shut for ever and thats fair enough.
I thought his post fight interview was very calm and gratifing towards Arce.
So lets see where Vic goes to now before bagging him over completley.

Yeah, I don't really see how people could complain that Vic ducks people given his opposition lately.

Also, he has moved up in weight away from where Donaire is at. Sal's arguments are irrational - clearly he is a Darchinyan hater. Understandable, I don't like Vic's mouth. But lets face it, if he didn't talk so much shit, would anyone care about watching a 115 pound guy fight? No, so he's trying to maximize his dough, can begrudge a man that...;)

Absolutly they would....or should be.Yet another display in that fight that Size doesn't matter...... :-X;D.As far as action back & forth,title unification no less,they are everybit rivaling the higher weights fighters

No fan of Vic personally,but he is awkward and very effective counter puncher with impact and TV friendly.His ability and bounce back in the ring out shines his knob-gobbler attitude.He's due that!!

Should, but don't.

I love watching the smaller guys fight, they consistently put on far better shows than the heavy guys. BUT, obviously most people don't agree with me otherwise how come their purses are so low in comparison to everyone elses?

I just think that Vic sees how the 'trash talking arsehole' attitude so succcessfully lined the pockets of people like Ali/Hamed/Mundine and thought 'why not'.

Then of course there is the chance that he just really is a trash-talking arsehole;D

One can never be sure.

Got a feeling that talk may stop now. He's on top again ,that says it all, hopefully he shuts up now and works even harder at revenge and also staying up there.

I liked how he changed style slightly in each round and still didnt pay for it to bad.

Arce is a decent counter puncher but for a right hander why didnt he use his right more? Maybe trying to stay clear of Vics left hand ?

Was interesting Andre. Arce had a few things worked out before the fight. Every time Vic took on the crab stance and stuck out the left elbow before the right hook (which he used very well against Mijares) Arce got off first with a 1-2 right up the pipe. VERY effective.

But in the wash up I think he just couldn't handle Vic's power. After that big uppercut in the fourth, Arce was on sea legs mate.

Rewatching the Antonio DeMarco TKO Raiymkulov in the 9th now,brought very sharp combos and mucked them up...:fight:.He stuck to a game plan and only stacks the lightweights richer in talent.

Arce looked old. He's done as a top fighter. Still Darchinyan did what he had to do and got the win. Credit to him. I expected him to go inside more but he didn't. He was winning on the outside. So there was no need. Fernando Montiel-Vic Darchinyan needs to happen

I agree VD before Darchinyan starts looking at the weights above he still has unfinished business at 115 with Montiel!

Darchinyan proved me wrong I didn't think he could win fighting backing up but he showed he has improved alot. I don't think the ref hand any control that fight, it was almost like a mma fight. Arce deserved to go the distance he has been alot worse than that and finished a fight. Other than that it was a good fight.

That was a great fight. I disagree with the ref that a punch caused the cut over the right eye. You can clearly see arce's head scrape accross the ropes and instantly he points to the ropes to tell the ref he was cut by the ropes.
