Re: Sticky: Joshua v Breazeale
Anthony Joshua is still rough around the edges - as Tyson Fury would surely have shown, says Steve Bunce | Boxing | Sport | The Independent
Kind of Ironic that Steve Bunce is still plying his trade with the Independant even though he's had needle with Sky for years and is so far up fury's areshole he could tell you exactly how many crepes the daft idiot has stuffed in his face over the last few days.
For someone like Bunce to be towing the party line that Fury is some untouchable defensive genius is hilarious, and lazy, especially when he's been proven over and over to be anything but.
Bu....but.....What about the Klitschko win? Fuck off!
Re: Sticky: Joshua v Breazeale
I have never ready any of steve bunces articles before and that one was pretty disappointing
I like to read the objective view
Re: Sticky: Joshua v Breazeale
Bunce writes some cracking pieces (when he's copying the late Jonathan Rendall's style) but he is so bitter towards Sky and Matchroom it's ridiculous.
It goes without saying but if Sky offered him a job he'd give the one man and a dog channel the elbow in a heartbeat.
Re: Sticky: Joshua v Breazeale
Bunce is a good writer when he's got somebody editing him. On telly he just runs his mouth. You can see him say something useful and then there's the point where the editor would cut him off but on telly he just rabbits on and on.
Fury still looks like a fat bastard on holiday in France. I'm not sure he'll ever be the same fighter again. He could easily lose the rematch to the Russian and Joshua goes elsewhere.
Re: Sticky: Joshua v Breazeale
Bunce works for Boxnation right, which is Frank Warrens outfit? Do they promote or have a deal with Fury at all, or is Bunce just trying to detract from MAtchroom/AJ?
Re: Sticky: Joshua v Breazeale
Question on the Bunce article, what is it with the rice?
Quote:
Big Anthony Joshua should be back in the gym today throwing handfuls of rice in preparation for the day he fights a man that can move, avoid a punch and counter.
Quote:
On Saturday night he would have needed a bag of rice to touch Fury, a sack of rice to get anywhere near Wladimir Klitschko
Is this some boxing term or is Buncey just talking out of his arse saying random words?
Re: Sticky: Joshua v Breazeale
Youve never heard the term "he couldnt hit him with a handfull of rice"?
It means that Fury moves so much Joshua would struggle to hit him by throwing a handfull of rice which would obviously spread like shot from a shot gun.

....Gotta admit I've not heard that one before, there is another lad that I work with who is well into his boxing and he asked about the rice thing when I sent him the article as well

Fury has signed for this fight only with Box Nation. His last fight was on Sky PPV. The one before those were probably on free terrestrial tv Channel 5.
