Ya. Paulie is too connected with this fight too be too opened. He obviously said things now about beating Conor during sparring because of the leaked photos, but he can't be totally honest about the fight.
If Paulie can destroy Conor in sparring, it's obviously a joke of a fight (not that we didn't already know it). Paulie can't punch, he isn't in boxing shape, he is way past his best, and didn't really get time to prepare. I would love to see the unedited video of the sparring. But again, Paulie wouldn't want it out because if that is seen, the whole fight loses all sense of dillusion that Conor has a chance to win.
Paulie Malignaggi says he heard UFC champion Conor McGregor "whimper" when he was hit by body shots in their boxing sparring sessions.
Malignaggi quit as McGregor's sparring partner last week, saying he felt "exploited" by the Irishman's camp.
McGregor faces Floyd Mayweather in his boxing debut in Las Vegas on 26 August.
"The guy is all about his ego. He's actually not trying to get better," two-weight former world champion Malignaggi told MMA Hour.
American Malignaggi, who retired in March, was upset about training camp pictures made public. One showed him down on the canvas during one of the two spars with McGregor.
Malignaggi says he asked McGregor not to release any pictures from their sparring, but the UFC fighter refused.
"He gives me his back, he's walking away towards the showers and he's like, 'Ha ha, I don't know Paulie. We got some good ones in those last two rounds. I don't know about that'," Malignaggi said.
"I thought it was a joke."
Five-weight world champion Mayweather is coming out of retirement to face UFC lightweight title holder McGregor in a high-profile fight.
Malignaggi, who was also concerned about sparring for 12 rounds, added: "The funny thing about the push down was this - it was during one of his worst moments.
"He pushed me down on the floor to try to catch a break and the instant I went down I got back up.
"I started to take it to him right after that. I told him, 'you get no breaks here', and I started to hit him with more body shots. I said, 'take those, they don't feel good' and I could hear him whimper off the body shots, too."

You fucking love that BBC Website don't you?😂
So Loma has offered to step in for Paulie and help Conor with his sparring.
Not sure if that would be advisable what with the cut he sustained on Saturday/Sunday, how long is left until the fight now? It's only a few weeks away isn't it, surely Conor will be winding up on the heavy sparring soon.
I really like Paulie and all but listening to his story I couldn't help thinking the real reason he was pissed off with McGregor (his team) is because they didn't give him special treatment, he was just another sparring partner when he expected to be treated like royalty.
Moaning about the "crackden" they housed him in. The food, transport, having to train with the other sparring partners, and the timescale he was given, which prevented him from shopping and stuff.
And to top it all off he wants us to believe (with the UFC's own professional snapper ringside clicking away) that he was under the impression they were having a zero picture policy. Really? Come on Paulie? Since when was you ever shy around a camera? Anyway, as I already knew, Paulie is a terrific waffler, listened to a whole two hours of a story that could be summed up in a sentence.
@Fenster was that on his podcast that you listened to the two hour story? I know that he was releasing one the other day but even Paulie didn't know what platform it was to be released on or how to even find it, apparently it was on either Paulies own website, HBO's website, iTunes, and a few other possible places, it was at that point I gave up.
I'd be interested to listen to it though
Yeah it was on his podcast (2 hours) - https://omny.fm/shows/showtime-sport...ie-breaks-down
He also tells the exact same story in less detail here (1 hour)

I believe Paulie and I think he is not being a diva.
Colin is being a tight git and should be using the best sparring and advisors possible not trying to maximise his income by having poor facilities and paying cheaply on sparring partners. He has not even paid Paulie yet.
Paulie should say this is a travesty and great mismatch.
Forgive me for writing the next sentence but I hope Floyd wins.
I'm just POed they made me look a fool for incorrectly calling Tanks opponent. Predicting apparently isn't for me. Lesson learned.
Does Badou Jack vs Nathan Cleverly make this crappy 'event' more worth it now ;D.
