OK, George Foreman hit way harder than Tyson, and look what happened to him? Punchers are what Ali fought the best with, cuz he boxed yo'azz & then in the late rounds, went for the KOQuote:

I have to disagree.. i think george had more all around boxing skills in addition to power.Quote:

a. very good head movement, side to side, good ability to weave and dodge punches.
b. good footwork, cut off the ring well
c. very accurate fast handspeed, deadly combinations. Picked his spots well and a very good bodypuncher.
d. Tyson always kept his hands up, unlike george foreman being totally open to ali punches.
The foreman of the 90's had alot better boxing skills than the foreman of the 70's.
Yeah Tyson would have knocked him out.
if mc bride can beat tyson, ali sure as hell can
of course Foreman looked bad, cuz he was fighting fookin' Muhammad Ali, duh, that isn't even a comparison!Quote:

in soccer we hear about the maradona-pele question. of course, nobody mentions that pele scored over 1,000 goals while maradona scored what? 300? then here we are discussing ali-tyson as if they were even in the same league. while tyson was entertaining and feed the same violent appetite that makes the circus of wrestling the marketing success it is, the fact is that ali would have taken tyson in no time. let's face it, are you guys forgetting about foreman? that guy was a monster when ali took him appart and quite frankly foreman in his prime makes tyson look like the baby in roger rabbit's movie. then we have norton, frasier and the host of other true boxers whom ali dispatched. tyson is gone, a chump named douglas beat him, a cruiser name hollyfield showed him what boxing is all about. tyson never faced true competition because larry holmes was on the way out and spinks never achieved what hollyfield achieved. in ali's prime tyson would have been a good sparring partner but nothing more. ali was for a reason the greatest.
just like to say to all this bollox. Im british and lewis is one of my favourite boxers. ive always put him alittle behind ali and tyson. in an interview about 3 months ago he said he would never beat ali, marciano, forman and tyson in there primes. so the man himself said it
how can u argue.
but the one thing i did find funny was ali sayin he would lose to tyson by tko. interviewer asked him. y. and he said. coz im 63.
but i also believe tyson would ave beat ali in 3 or 4 rounds
Prime 4 Prime that is
one thing i would like to no is wot is saddo or whoever owns this sites view on this
u r obviosly keyed up on boxin so would like to no ure view
What are you saying? I can't read your spelling.Quote:

By the way, Tyson and Duran are really good friends.
Buster Douglas gave the whole world the blue print on Tyson....snapping jab, and tie him up on the inside(ofcourse you need good stamina and chin and not be crapping your pants)...Considering Ali has arguably the best hand speed ever in the HW div, great foot speed, very hard to hit, great stamina, and a awesome chin I don't see how anyone can say tyson wins. Now onto Lewis....Ali would lay back much like he did against Foreman and force Lewis to carry the fight to him then counter and pepper lewis winning with a late round KO..Ali would probably give away the first rounds but his hand speed, slipperyness and great footspeed would start fustrate Lewis and close his eyes up....The only fighters I give a legit chance to beat Ali is Joe Louis and Jack Johnson...in their respective primes that is.
Jack Johnson couldn't fight for shit, boxers didn't even throw combinations back in those days and you're trying to say that he could of beaten ali. That's ludicrous.
Back in the days of Jack Johnson, the favored stance was with both fists facing upwards (as if doing curls, the right hand close to the chest... the left hand doing a curl further out). It was quite primitive.
Vanchilds you think Klitschko can overcome far more skilful opponents on skill alone and yet you think the huge Ali would get beaten by Johnson who was a midget in comparison, even if in some bizarre way you think he was more skilled?! I wouldn't be surprised by anything that comes out of your keyboard anymore so let it rip come on shock me like ivan drago
rub out 2nd skill, replace with size :-[
Muhammad ali had superiour boxing skill, height, chin, balance, footwork, handspeed, accuracy and heart.
I don't see any possibility that jack johnson has any chance of beating ali, johnson was considered a giant in his day and he fought many middleweights and even welterweights. Jack's only 6 foot 1.
This is such a foregone conclusion!!
A man with little heart or stamina, against a man with courage oozing from every pore? A man with no plan B, against a man who was the master of adapting his style to suit his opponent, or as he got older? A man who beat some of the most fearsome heavyweight contenders, when he himself was past his best, against a man whose best win is against an ageing, pumped up light heavyweight?
There can only be one answer!!!! 8)
I agreeQuote:
