Re: Previously...on LOST!
Anyone want to see the Mobisode?I have a link. It's weird though. Also,I have been trawling through theory after theory and here is what I want help on from you guys:
Jacob is the monster? Also,Avaro Hanso is Jacob.
The significane of Walt's dog,and the picture of A dog in Jacob's cabin?
The rumour that in one of the podcasts, the producers said the pilot episode has a huge clue about what is going on in Lost. I watched it and don't see anyhitng except there is DEFINITELY somethin special about that dam dog.The music they play, the way he watches things from the bushes etc and THE DAM WHITE SHOT! There is a white shoe, shown CLEARLY in the tree and there is something about that too?
I want to hear what you guys think of this. Also, read this theory and tell me how awesome it is:
Anyone a 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan?
In the second book, the main charecters visit the The Ruler of the Universe and are very suprised by what they find. Rather then being an kingly ruler, they find a very lonely and confused man who lives in a shack all by himself
When i saw the scene with Jacob i was immediatly reminded of this chapter in the book
Here's a description from WIKIPEDIA -
"The Ruler of the Universe is a man living in a small shack on a world that can only be reached with a key to an improbability field or use of an Infinite Improbability Drive. He does not want to rule the universe and tries not to whenever possible, and therefore is by far the ideal candidate for the job. He has an odd, solipsistic view of reality: he lives alone with his cat, which he has named 'The Lord' even though he is not certain of its existence. He has a very dim view of the past, and he only believes in what he sees with his eyes and ears (and doesn't seem too certain of that, either): anything else is hearsay, so when executive-types visit to ask him what he thinks about certain matters, such as wars and the like, he tells them how he feels without considering consequences. As part of his refusal to accept that anything is true, or simply as another oddity, he even talked to his table for a week to see how it would react.

I know,I know,I'm sad but I don't watch much TV at all and don't think I'll ever see anything like LOST again so I'm addicted.Greatest tv programme of all time imo, never had or seen something make me work my brain so hard!
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
I agree 100%....greatest show ever IMO.
I've just finished watching Season 3. I was a slow starter and hadn't watched a single episode up until 2 months ago. Now i'm impatiently waiting for season 4 to start.
I know realise that the next 2 and a half months will be 'lostless' unless i watch them all again.
From what i can gather Naomi's people are going to play a big part in the next season.....like a new enemy and the losties and the remainder of the others have to protect the island from them.
I seriously can't wait for February

Re: Previously...on LOST!
Thanks Ono,much appreciated. Here is Mobisode 2. Hey,as you guys can see,I'm a LOST FREAK TOTALLY,bordering on obsessive but these Mobisodes seem a bit...pointless? Don't get me wrong,I still like them but I have a feeling that the LOST producers are laughing at idiots like me who watch these expecting to see something...relevant? Unless I'm missing something?

CC Gamo - February's getting closer!
I liked that one better than the others, so far - there was more than one game going on!!
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
CC back BC,I liked this one¬ I liked the irony! And hell yea, can't wait although Season 4 is only going to be 16 epidoes?!No breaks though! 8)
(Im telling you,I'm going to be like Jack in the flash forwards when Lost ends,"how do I get back","I need to get back!"I'll probably end up watching episode after episode, this is the kind of prgramme that NEVER gets broing, there's always something to go back to!)
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
Me and the wife are gonna start watching Season 1 again soon, to get back in the groove for February.
I agree - after they finish the series finale, I'm sure we'll have to go back and look for all the clues they left behind.
Can't wait!
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
BCollins, you have a wife that loves Lost and would watch the WHOLE thing again?! That is awesome! How is it going?
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
we're on season 2, 2nd episode...we need to slow down, or else watch it all over again before February. I bet we slow down over the holidays, though...
She is an awesome wife - I even get her to watch boxing with me sometimes, even though she's not a big fan.

I'm starting season 2 again tonight hopefully! Can't wait! I don't know why but I prefer watching Lost on my own. I find that when I watch it with others, they ask too many questions or spoil the atmosphere!

My wife still loves LOST...but is bored as hell with HEROES & pretty much hates boxing now. ;D
I sat through the 3rd season just last weekend...via I-Tunes. Awesome.
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
I'm trying really hard to avoid the Heroes thread - I saw the first episode, but I haven't had time to watch any others.
Good new is Christmas break is coming up soon...we got a date with the first season ;D

Re: Previously...on LOST!
Questions to my brothers: WTF is so special about the dog? There obviously is something.
Could Jacob be Alvar Hanso?
And who is in the casket in the flash forward? My guess for this one: Either Sawyer,John,Ben or Michale. The first 3 because they were loaners off the island. They had no-one hence no-one would go to their funerals.Except Jack, who in 1 way or another, had some sort of respect for the guy. Michale could be added to that too.
BTW,how cool does Jac look with a beard?
I'm watching Season 2 again,I LOVE LOVE Desmond and his lines"See you in another life brother","What did 1 Snowman say to another". I mean wtf is he talking about! This programme is so good it's insane. The drama, the acting, the mystque and mystery,EVERYTHING.
Which season was the best?Or worst?

Which dog? Vincent, or the one in the picture in Jacob's cabin? The one from the picture is a painting of a producer's dog...I thought that was cool ;D
Quote:

That's a damn good theory - they keep taking about Jacob being a great man, like a visionary, or something. Hanso fits the bill nicely. Plus he was invloved with Dharma from the start, so no telling what kind of experiments he was around...

I guess Ben, but that's a total guess. There's a lot of speculation on the casket being really short - some math nerds like me figured out the length relative to Jack's height when he's standing in front of it. Ben's kinda short! Plus no one would come to his funeral.
This one is totally out there. I bet they have some fun with us on this storyline...it's probably someone we haven't even met yet.

Much cooler - not so much a girly man. ;D

Desmond kicks ass! I'm still confused with his time travel/precognition after the explosion of the hatch, but he's still one of my favorite characters.
That scene where he's got the gun on Locke and Jack sees him is awesome!
"You?"
We watched that a couple of times ;D

BTW, CC in 24 Gamo - great questions!

Re: Previously...on LOST!
CC back my man,I always like reading what you have to say. Yeah, sorry about the ambiguity,I mean Walt's dog.I was watching epsiode 1 because the produvers said that there was a clue in that episode and I noticed they kept playing weird music whenever Walt's dog was shown, and it was asif he was observing everything that was happening.
Also, there have been 5 people signed to play new characters,I'm guessing the people on the Freighter? And someone is coming back next season!!Have you seen the latest Mobisode? I can provide a link if you would like?

The last Mobisode I saw was Ben and Jack - I had to have a rough draft of my thesis in last week, so I've been under the gun. After next week, I'm kicking back and catching up on all my shows, plus starting on Heroes season 1. I hate it that I missed that show.
I'll be spending some time on Lostpedia catching up with all the rumors/theories I've missed out on, too.
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
My man,did you see the latest Mobisode? They are getting better and better and this was the best by far! Room23 and Walt are involved! :o I never really gave Walt much significance but what if he is an integral cog in the machine? How the heck are they going to explain all the things he's done such as show up in front of Shannon when he was meant to be on the boat and turning up in front of Locke and saying he has work to do,leading Locke to murder 1 woman(and remember the difficulties he had in killing his hated father and the turncoat in the hut flashback) and Locke almost killed Jack too! Was this all Walt's doing?
If you've seen the mobisode, then I'll mention that too as it is another example of Walt and whatever he can do! WTF and who the heck is Walt?!What makes him special?!

Re: Previously...on LOST!
CC big-big for the links, Gamo! I hadn't seen that last one yet.
Walt rocks - I noticed something cool during the 2nd season rewatching. A lot of people theorized that Walt's appearances to Shannon (and all the other odd sightings - Jack's dad, Kate's horse, etc.) were manifestations of either Jacob or the black smoke monster. With the other cases, that might be right, but Walt is different.
When he first appeared to Shannon, not long after the group had set sail on the raft, he was dripping wet. That to me implied that either the smoke monster/Jacob was drawing on Walt's present state of being (since he had just been kidnapped from the raft), or the sending came from Walt himself.
I'm going with option B, especially in light of that last Mobisode.

CC back friend,I totally agree,I think Walt's appearances are different to those others. Also with the other appearances like the horse etc,it's specific to that character and their past. Shannon and Walt didn't really have a past.
I'm still intrigued as to WHY it's birds that he kills or maims. Remember when Walt's mother and step father were in the room and there was like a dead bird in that scene too! Is that his sign?> If it is,then remember when a few of the Losties were going to the Other's camp, and there was this AWESOME bird which seemed to appear from the trees and Hurley says I think he called my name, could that have been Walt attempting to get in touch with them?
Heck,is Walkt "good" or "bad" and what the heck could Jacob want with Walt?!

Re: Previously...on LOST!
I want to see flashbacks from:
Mikhail
Rosseau
Richard
more from Ben.
Watching season 2,I also dont understand WHY Ben was coming HIMSELF to the Losties camp and how did Rosseau know who he was?
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
Oh,another character I'd like to see a flashback of:Libby! She says she's a shrink, she was in the same psych ward as Hurley yet she also gave Desmond the boat to get to the island! Is she involved with Dhrma?
Also,in the Mobisode featuring Hurley, there is a guy named Neil aka Frogurt. Well,I was watching an season 2 episode and he is mentioned in it too! Bernard asks for him when making that GIANT SOS sign in the sand. The producers have confirmed that Frogurt will be in season 4!

What is Crebus? I don't know.

I used to know so much about this show, now I just watch it and forget about it a few hours later. I think its the feeling that the producers raise so many "questions" that will never be answered, story lines that will never be tied up so what's the point.
Maybe if they killed off Jack the Whiny I'd start getting back into the theories again. Just please kill Jack.
From the movie Knocked Up: What's interesting about Matthew Fox (Jack)? Nothing. He is a hell of a whiner though. Kill him.
On a more serious note if I do have a theory its that Walt's important. :o

I'm sorry my friend but you are officially out of the loop.Ahahaha, what's up with the Jack hate? I thought he was annoying in Season 3 but his flash forward was mind blowing.
Cerberus is the name given by Kelvin and Inman on their map on the Hatch door to the smokey monster. To say you watch Lost and forget about it a few hours later and to say it here?! And a Spurs fan too?! You deserve to be shot in the foot!!!
I understand what you are saying about the questions not all being answered but as long as the main ones are answered and the action, mystery etc keeps going,I don't mind. The questions make the programme exciting and give us things to talk about so they sure as heck add to the show for me. Plus I think you're just being grumpy my man ;D ;D I miss it too so I'm watching the older episodes and noticing things here and there but NOTHING and I mean NOTHING tells me what is going to happen. I have zero ideas where they are going with this, Heck, when they opene the hatch,I thought a monster was going to be inside.
-
Re: Previously...on LOST!
Maybe I am a bit grumpy today. In my defense, I've started waking up at like 5:00 in the morning and not being able to go back to sleep. No matter when I go to sleep at night. I'm like a farmer waking up when the rooster calls or some shit. I'm like an old man, I'm gonna start eating dinner at 4:30 in the afternoon and start going to sleep at 8:00 at night. I'll probably start talking about the weather a lot. I'll probably start watching the local news at night a lot, especially focusing on the weather section.
That and Jack's annoying. Whiner.
Guess I am out of the loop, I had to really think to remember who Kelvin and Inman were. I might try to get back in the loop before the next season, I'd have to rewatch the third season though. Might do that.

Have a CC for cracking me up! You're buts, you remind me of...me! I woke up at 5 today too,I'm trying to get this new system going,I hate sleeping for like 9 plus hours, waste of a day so I go to bed earlier and wake up earlier! Keep me updated on the weather! ;D :D :D
I highly recommend you get back into the loop for the next season which promises to be the best one yet.I just finished season 2,going through season 1 now and then season 3. 30 days left before the new season starts :o :o
IS IT ME OR DOES TIME FLY BY WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO QUICKLY!?!

Where did everyone go? It's nearly time for Season 4¬¬¬!!!! :o :o :o :o :o

Re: Previously...on LOST!
I must admit when i first tried watching Lost in 1st season i said "what is this corny shit".Then i sat down and watched 1st season in repeats followed by 2nd and I WAS HOOKED.I dont know the names that well,we should do a cast member run down before new season starts.Random thought out loud:
Michelle Rodriquez in jail for DUI.That sucks, shes a hottie and was a good character. Can You say Conjugal visit ??
Michael needs to die. That farking trader, maybe its just the actor,I couldn't stand him in "OZ" either.
Ben is creepy cool, great character and very convincing.Has John wrapped around his finger.
This show has alot of stuff to tie together, just whan you get an answer or finality to one question...they open 3 more.
Why is Hurly not loosing any weight?I'm a little fuzzy on last series finale, are they doing a repeat of it leading up,hope so.Some times it seems the writers are making it up as they go.

Going to re-watch season 3 the week before just to refresh my mind cos i honestly can't remember much of season 3.......and i only watched it 2 months ago.
