A savage, world beater, from Tiajuana...
If Margarito is such a bum, why doesn't floyd beat him and take the easy money?
That's a good question...here's an even better one:
If Margarito is such a killer, why doesn't he knockout a notable contender or ex-champ and earn his shot at the big money?
Just because you beat up other bums from the local Tiajuana bars doesn't make you worthy of cashing in off someone else's name....

Heh heh heh. :coolclick:
Quite humerous. ;)

Re: A savage, world beater, from Tiajuana...
Wasn't 6 heads Lewis an ex champ? Add to that Kermot Cintron,a future champ. Also, Floyd was criticised rightly for taking those fights because he is "SUPPOSED" to be P4P number 1!!

Re: A savage, world beater, from Tiajuana...
Oh and cashing in on someone's name:err Why does Floyd want to fight Oscar again?? ::**

Re: A savage, world beater, from Tiajuana...
Seriously,if you want to make threads like this,at least make points which are difficult to argue...... or have some basis on truth..... Oh and who would you recommend he koes? the awesome leg hurts so bad he can't even move properly Sharmba Mitchell? I mean that's the guy Floyd beat to get his title shot no? Aside from you and a few others on this forum, everyone else knows something is going on if Floyd does not sign that contract and get in the ring with Tony Margarito. It's simple as that really.

Let me say this again...for arguements sake...we can all go on & break down a man's opponants...but Floyd has fought the better fighters in his career...to be P4P...you can't say that they have to beat everyone on the way up...if that's the case then a lot of P4P'rs of the past need to be scrapped.
Floyd has moved up in weight & has fought game opposition.
People are rushing both players, IWO.
Margarito needs to beat some other worthy fighters & so does Floyd before you can really start saying he made a statement in the 147.

Again...you can discount anyone's opposition...but I'll have to say that you are waaaaaaaaaaaaay off base here.
Everyone has always wanted a shot at Oscar & a Mayweather Oscar fight is still a worthy match & leaps & bounds above anyone that Margarito has faced.
No hate on Margarito...he's a good fighter...but he needs more to do at 147. Why is no one criticizing the man is what I can't figure.
He's been at 147 for how many years? Why did he not face the top men/big names at his weight?

Re: A savage, world beater, from Tiajuana...
To be honest my only argument is Floyd needs to fight Hatton, they are the two fighters regarded and ranked highest in around 140-147, if that fight cannot be made, i think Tony v Floyd is the best matched fight available for them and if Floyd is being offered $8 million lets get it on, i cant see Tony winning, but Floyd has lost alot of his snap if you ask me at 147, which was a big tool in fights like Chavez and Castillo, but if Hatton and Pretty boy cant get it on i would not mind this fight one bit.
-
Re: A savage, world beater, from Tiajuana...
Actually Floyd and Oscar would sell that fight...not to mention the story line of Mayweather sr training oscar...
SIX HEADS!!!!! :lolhaha: Omg...he's just as useless as Margarito....walk out on the street and ask anybody if they've heard of Andrew Lewis or James Paige....WHO?!!!
I said notable contenders or ex-champ...
So lemme get it straight...it's okay to criticize floyd's opponents because he's the best? But Give Margarito credit for beating guys that floyd would be torn up for fighting? That is what you said right?

Without speculating...tell and then show me the facts that you and "everyone" else has that prove that "something else is going on" other than what it is....
Yeah floyd says if it doesn't make dollars and this and that...but he also replies when asked about margarito "Who's he, who's he beaten"....
And didn't Six heads just get KO'ed by Mayorga?

yeah, he has a point
Magarito has really gotta step it up, fighting bums like Manuel Gomez isn't going to make him a world class name among non-boxing fans. Yet alone a title shot.

:coolclick: I agree there.
Floyd has lost the pop on the move up & I said months ago that that would be his downfall.
I suppose we shall see.

It's funny that you say that..because hasn't he been at ww for ten years? And still is not recognized as the man to beat...and he has the wbo belt yet you said "get a shot at the title" that's funny to me......

I'll agree there...again...I gotta ask about Floyd being so hardly critiqued about not fighting Margarito but it's okay for Margarito to be at 147 for his entire career & not matching the better or big names there?
Why is no one screaming for Margarito to fight any of the top 10 or even 20 names out there?
-
Re: A savage, world beater, from Tiajuana...
Yet AGAIN,you miss the main point:you asked which ex champs has Margarito beaten,I did not say he was good first and second it is just as laughable as Brusseles ;)
Wack, considering you had a post with a poll with votes to see who PBF should face and Margarito came second to Hatton with Oscar a distant third, and Wack, you call for Margarito to do more@147,then you say PBF should fight Hatton ??? or he should go up to 154 and fight Oscar who will probably have a belt then? ??? Double standards.....
Oh and who would you recommend Margarito beat? Everyone knows Margarito was avoided, heck even Shane Mosley said it in an interview, that he was not ready for Tony and even now,he did not want to rematch Vargas but he knew at 147,the only person to fight who is available is Tony. I criticise Floyd's opponents from the last 3 years because to be P4P number1,it is not good enough. Zab doesn't want any of Tony,Baldozar openly stated and who else is credible?

Re: A savage, world beater, from Tiajuana...
Oh and....Who did Winky beat before he got his big shot? Who did Raheem beat before EM? Who did JMM beat before fightin Pac? To say who has Margarito beaten@147 is not a legitimiate criticism because he has fought everyone put in front of him. Also, why did Floyd not fight him for his belt,he is the most legitimate champ@147.
