if mcClellan and roy jones fought around the time mcclellan got injured how do u think th fight would have gone. we all know that roy jones has not got the best chin, but it would be hard to catch him with a clean shot. personally i think if mcClellan tagged roy on the chin he wouldnt get back up.
anyone who thinks Roy was chinny back then hasn't taken their medication for the day

McClennan was one dimentional and could be outboxed. Roy should beat him and outbox him. And if Roy had retired after the first Tarver fight there would be no question who would win.

Roy Jones was not susceptible to the straight right... he was hardly ever caught by it. He only had troubles with pressure behind a jab, and even then he didn't really have all that much trouble against it.Quote:

Apart from a weight drained Toney (Who Stweard admits G-Man owned in the gym) Jones never fought anyone elite so i cant judge.
Id pick Jones to get flashy but get his china rocked late.
G-Man late KO as Gerald actually fought prime elite fighters and did well with them Roy just didnt fight good fighters so one never knows.
Give me 8wks camp and ill look like Muhammad Ali against some of the guys Jones fought.

I don't know what the writers in the Ring and Boxing news and so on were thinking for almost 10 years when they were regarding him as p4p no1. And then what were they thinking when they awarded him the fighter of the 90s?
