What Happened To the Plan Ricky
What Happened To the Plan Ricky
It appears that a rematch with Luis Collazo is not in the cards for undefeated WBA welterweight champion Ricky Hatton. The Manchester Evening News reports that Hatton is moving back down to 140 pounds, unless a bout with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. can be made.
Re: What Happened To the Plan Ricky
Well if hes done that, then hes afraid of loosing that 0. He needs to take risks if he wants to become a legend.
Re: What Happened To the Plan Ricky
that's good
Boldimor and Gatti are rubbish anyway, Castillo and Corrales are alot better P4P

So hes moving back down for the "better comp" or the easier comp. That hatton sure is brave.

::** So by that logic, Audley Harrison may as well just fight Joe Calzaghe to revive his career. He's much better p4p then any HW's right??
Re: What Happened To the Plan Ricky
If I understood it correctly, Hatten had a hard time finding a fighter in say, in the top 10 to fight, had a not so stellar outing against a top ten fighter, got the w, and he is the world champ in the Jr. ww. div. Correct. Everybody keeps bitching about Hatten not fighting who they want him to fight, and yet that mf wont do it unless the price is right. He already said he'd fight mayweather . :wc:
Re: What Happened To the Plan Ricky
I'm fine with Hatton-Castillo, he might find out what happens when you lunge in to try to wrestle and then get hit by a real puncher.
Re: What Happened To the Plan Ricky
If Corrales loses will Hatton STILL call him out. Judging by his latest manuevering, I'm thinking that he just might.
Re: What Happened To the Plan Ricky
Wow. I'm not gonna say that I am shocked...might be the smartest thing for him to do...but it's odd that an underratted hardly known second tier 147 fighter put the fear in him.
Interesting.
Re: What Happened To the Plan Ricky
I thought everyone was saying Ricky was a man of his word and would give Collazo a rematch because he said he would ???

Noticed that too did you?
Re: What Happened To the Plan Ricky
Well, I agree that Hatton should move back down. For all those people that said Floyd looked bad at 147, Hatton looked worse. Collazo hurt him in that fight. If Floyd and Hatton fight at 147, Hatton loses.

:coolclick: Agreed 100%.
The question is...on the demotion...do people still actually think that he stands a chance against Floyd?

What, you would rather see Hatton fight Boldimor? At the end of the day, a Win over castillo is a greater accomplisment to his legacy than a win over Gatti.
Hatton is a natural Junior WW anyway........The thing i didn't like is the fact that Hatton is not giving Callozo a rematch.

I always thought he would lose to PBF. Because of that i would still pay to see it. But Hatton came to america and 147 to make a pbf showdown look good. No casual fan seeing hatton for the first time will want to pay $50 to see him get beat on by pbf.
