interesting stuff Scraps. I especially like the dumbell one, I'd add a couple sets of elifts at the end to get the added benefit of working the fast twitchies and anaerobic/cardio.
I have an AWESOME workout. I'm trying to get some vids on youtube...... ill keep ya posted.
The roller is good when you get good at it. then you get a skipping rope and skip while you are on it, thats when you become very sharp and cordinated.
I find it interesting on this thread that their isnt much feedback. At first I wasnt going to put it up, I thought Id be giving to much away. Do you know whats happening Biomechanically
scrap give me some advice on training with resistance bands please
Relentless, in what way
any, i just bought one so i was thinking of ways i can use it in my boxing training, maybe footwork hand speed?
Give us a clue, what type is it how long has it got handles how strong is it
the band is 1.5 meters long it has 2 handles its supposd to be "extra strong"
sorry its 1.2 meter
Put a loop in the middle and thread it through a belt round your waist. make sure when your in the on guard position, you have tension so the punching muscles have a response. Speed comes from the first 3 inch of any movement that also includes techniuqe so make it so you have plenty of tension away you go. Have a look at the thread, hand speed and do a bit of both.
cc for putting the vids up.I'll try those exercises for sure, but what's the thing connected to the wooden plate used in the 2nd exercise
BTW What happens biomechanicaly?
Had one for years I call it a wobbly board Reebock brought them out about 3 years ago but got it wrong, [not enough angle].Its best to try these with your eyes shut, the response is better, also bare footed. the roller and balls, you are working on touch and feel, while the muscles are stableizing form and response over 3 inch. ankle metatarsus toe and achilles where move ment is generated from in a vertical posture. Plus its stretching the hhamstrings by up to 3 inch at speed without to much impact while the whole body has a job to do as far as cordination and speed response, thats a bit of what it does. Try it you will shocked at the improvement in speed.
first 3 inches? is that why when a boxer is shadow boxing he doesnt bring out his punch properly?, like when he throws a straight right he comes like half way?Quote:
