Fighters that were unable to rebound from big losses?
Who are your top 3?
Mine are:-
1) Mike Tyson - Was never the same after Douglas battered him. He stopped moving his head & throwing combos, plus he seemed to lose heart when faced with adversity. His whole life unravelled after that & we all know what happened to him.
2) Matthew Saad Muhammad - My all time favourite fighter. Was an all action, exciting champ until he ran into Dwight Qawi who pounded the brown stuff out of him. The rematch went the same way & Saad spent the rest of his career as a journeyman, getting beaten by guys that weren't fit to spar with him.
3) Pipino Cuevas - Thomas Hearns not only destroyed his ego, but seemed to ruin his career too. Seemed to lose almost every time he fought after the Hearns loss.
:badass: :end: :band: :bounce: :bootyshake: :boobs2: :bobby: :boat: :blow: :boxing2: :boxing2: :crowd:

Good shout.
He seemed to lose all heart when he realised that his power wasn't heaven sent.
Re: Fighters that were unable to rebound from big losses?
I am not going to agree with the Tyson one, as he still regained his title afterwards, fought main events and was 'the man' for a while after that loss.
What about Don Curry, though, after Honeyghan beat him up?

Meldrick Taylor, after Chaves
Re: Fighters that were unable to rebound from big losses?
David Reid by far, I would mention Vargas but he did show alot of heart after the brutal beating from Tito.

Thats good one man. It seemed like it just lost all of his heart after that fight and was never the same fighter. Its sad to because I thought he was one hell of a boxer. I still believe he got robbed in that chavez fight.

Got to agree about Curry.
What happened to that guy?
Honeyghan literally killed his career.

Nazeem Hammed Lost to one man.
And he felt to bad to fight afterwards, only a pick-me-up against Calvo.

Mosley may be top 20 pound for pound now a days but pre Forrest he was vying for #1 spot. IMO he has never recovered the form he showed between DLH1 and Forrest1...
