Spinks does not belong in this list....Yes he only had a few wins at HW but....He ended the reign of one of the divisions top all time champs...Won the rematch...Cooney was just a money fight...The division was weak...no one for him to really fight so this is why he retired...The Tyson fight was for money only!!!......Spinks was first LH to win HW crown and he had already established himself as one of the LH divisions top guys...In the all time top 10...Plus he owns a gold medal....In no way is he a one win wonder
Re: BOXERS WHO HAD GREAT WIN BUT AFTER NEVER ACHEIVED GOOD WIN AFTER
Frankie Randall over Chavez
Ingamar Johansen over Patterson...
Leon Spinks over Ali...

i just watched that fight with randall vs chavez cant believe it was sd and one judge had chavez up considering chavez was down in 11th and had point taken away plus in my opinion randall was getting bit better of exchanges that was almost another whitaker vs chavez moment

Agreed....But you know how judges can be....Especially with a guy like Chavez...They want you to kill him before they feel you beat him....Plus he is Mexican and they don't want to piss off Suliman....Might not get another chance to rob a guy of a win

Re: BOXERS WHO HAD GREAT WIN BUT AFTER NEVER ACHEIVED GOOD WIN AFTER
Sanders over Wladdy
McCall over Lennox

Actually agree with you on this, Sonia. Calzaghe doesn't belong on this list. Considering he's still waiting for his first big win

because he was hyped up to be next mike tyson it was good win come on give him some credit

Vernon Forrest over SSM twice then got mopped by Mayorga and i personally have not been impressed with him ever since. he was even supposed to be on the undercard of Klitschko vs Sanders(big bro Vitali) and he never showed up that night so the main event started earlier and i walked in on round Fin two!!!!!!!!!! thank god it went a couple more rounds, but i still blame Vernon for not fighting that night as planned hahaha.

A good win yes and a good performance but lets be real for a minute here....Lacy was/is no P4P greatest fighter....He had half the fights of Joe...Not a great Boxer...No master defensive specialist....Never beat a guy who was P4P or close to it....It was a good performance against a slightly above average guy.........Anyone who thinks Calzaghe would perform like that against Hopkins, Wright, Tarver, is talking out of their ass.....A great win is a win over a top guy who they were big underdogs against....EG--Forest/Mosley,,Douglas/Tyson,,Spinks/Ali....Not a prospect who has the potential to be the next someone...they have to actually be someone.....Joe is a good fighter but a win over Lacy meant nothing than just that a win
