am i the only one who thinks ......
that EUBANK beat STEVE COLLINS in their 2nd fight ??
at the time i thought COLLINS won by miles but i recently watched it again and had mixed views
then i watched it with the sound off and scored it for EUBANK
the sky sports commentators and barry mcguigan were way biased towards COLLINS
EUBANK was making COLLINS miss alot and landing the cleaner shots and classier shots
I like EUBANKS more refinement and more counter shots over COLLINS sheer workload
round 1-COLLINS
round 2-EUBANK
round 3-EUBANK
round 4-EUBANK
round 5-EUBANK
round 6-COLLINS
round 7-COLLINS
round 8-TIE
ROUND 9-COLLINS
ROUND 10-EUBANK
ROUND 11-EUBANK
ROUND 12-COLLINS
115-114 EUBANK

Let me guess, your from the UK?
Re: am i the only one who thinks ......
You just cannot score it for Eubank, sorry. Even trying to be biased, you can't do it. He landed maybe five quality shots in 12 rounds, and even though it was five more than Collins landed, he didn't do anything else! Collins was marauding forward alnight, catching Eubank, winning every single round until he got a little too ragged towards the end. There were three US judges if I remember (?), and I think they were just trying not to be swayed by the crowd in Cork and took a fancy to Eubank's more black American-esque kind of style. I can't see how they made it so close. Collins was running away with it. I remember there were people who felt Eubank edged it, but very few. I can't see how.

Based on what?? I guess all the posturing, being the calmest man in the arena every time, the turning his nose up at ringsiders, the lisps, the vaults, the 'mugs game' comments, the tv contracts, the viewing figures, the ticket sales, the money, the monocles, the mannerisms etc all pass you by?

That's true! The guy was an idiot, losing about a stone a few days before each weigh-in. Absolutely crazy.
But you couldn't argue with an unbeaten record!
