What if Panam Lewis returns to help Briggs?

Reportedly, there is some talk that Team Briggs may expand to include controversial and "banned from the corner for life" Carlos "Panama" Lewis. Lewis trained Sultan for several bouts before being fired. Lewis did time for his participation in the glove padding incident with Irsih Billy Collins, Jr. I personnaly view him with total disdain.

I would lose all respect for ANY boxer who would allow Panama Lewis into their camp. He is a utterly despicable human being.

Panama knows his Shit and could have been one of the greatest trainers this sport ever seen....But he is a disgrace who showed that he will win at ALL COST!!!.....That is something this sport does not need.......who the hell does he ntrain right now?...does everthing but go to the ring with the guy?...I think a Russian fighter could be wrong though

I have no respect for panama lewis.. In fact..I dont even think he is even that great a trainer..
I mean he must have some skills..Cos theres been a few names out there that have had him..
But for example when he had oba carr..Oba could have been the dogs nuts had he stuck with manny steward, But he ended up with panama lewis took a fight with tito and got stopped for his first defeat..
And this was way back when the welterweight division was big and there was alot of competition and alot of money to be made... And it was self evident that oba was in felix's class...Jus wasnt bien told what to do..
Besides all that the obvious thing about lewis is that he's scum and bollocks to this no entering the ring shit..He should never be involved in boxing at all ever..

PURE SCUM!!!...Between the Pryor "bottle", Botha Steroids, Resto's gloves ( and these are only the "documented" findings)...Panama Lewis should not be allowed near or in contact with any professional fighter...

I mean he pulled that shit in the Collins fight, then the "black bottle" in the Pryor fight, & now he's the main man for Ibragimov?

Both wasn't that great & he didn't do shit for Tyson...so...what makes everyone think that he was so great...or even still is? He's always been a turd...I just don't get it.

I think people just like him because he's willing to do ANYTHING to get his fighter to win....he's no gentleman that's for sure.

Not like this one. Look at what he and Resto did to Billy Collins for God sakes. They blinded him and drove him to drink. He then may well have committedd suicide. Lewis is not a dime a dozen; he is a specila breed of slime. IMO. Billy Collins was as nic a kid as you could ever meet and so was his dad. Poor but proud Southern folk who worked hard...and then along comes Lewis and muggs this poor kid. No sympathies from this quarter. BTW, Sulatn canned him and now Briggs is thinking about bringing him in. Briggs must have a "great" PR man!
