Well we just seen an improved Sam Peter send The Legend James Toney packing, And The King of the Heavyweights Wladimir Klitschko whip the longest reigning Champ Chris Byrd and destroy a few highly regarded undefeated prospects. I think it would be a great match up with Klitschko knocking him out late with a left hook. What do you guys think?
When Wladdy boxes and uses that jab, Peter is shut out....
I think the outcome would be the same.
Very interesting, cause now if Peter gets his shot at Maskaev, and Wladdy gets past whomever hes fighting we MIGHT see a II it would be interesting I guess.
Peter should beat Maskaev and then after a solid defence, its time to get in there with Wlad. Peter has the potential to beat Wlad. His workrate is improving, he is adding new strings to his bow and I see a very interesting bout taking place...
Peter still doesn't have an answer for Wladimer's jab and right cross. He was offensively better tonight but Wladimer beat him on his defensive lacks, which he still has.

Fighting Toney was just what Peter needed, Toney was the class and Peter learned it easily without any danger of ever getting knocked out. The perfect opponent in Pete's career right now.
Peter although improved is probably easier to hit than Calvin Brock, and we all saw what happened to him. However, with Wlad being dropped 3 count em 3 times thats a heavy burden to carry into the ring knowing that that guy had you down 3 times and could do it again. It would be intriguing because they have both improved, although I imagine Peter would get the job done against Maskaev first, Maybe the HW's will be sorted this year.
i just see this bout in 2004 DaVarryl Williamson vs wlad supposedly wlad was down in the 4th and fight was stopped on cuts due to headbutt was this guy doing any good against wlad ??
If it took place today I go With Wlad all day....I say he out boxes him for the decision like last time..Minus the knockdowns..IMO Steward is improving Wlads defense...on the other hand with the progress of Peter from just the first Toney fight to the second shows he is geting better also...at a quicker rate!!....I still go with Wlad though...in another year or so I don't think I will be able to say the same thing
Big Wladdy takes a decision. I mean fair enough he beat Toney, but Wlad is sooo different, as he is naturally bigger and has alot more power then JT at HW. Peter eats that jab all night long.
I am going to side with what Lyle would say. Something to the effect that Wlad had Sam hurt and this time will finish him off. The three knockdowns to come back to win just show how superior Wlad really is.
I said peter by ko because thats the outcome im hoping for. The edge goes to Dr. suspectjaw until then.
As much as I like Peter...there are to many factors against him than FOR him.
Wlad's too tall & Wlad get's away with waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much holding & leaning & that wore Peter down more then the punches in their first fight.
You couple that with Wlad's jabs & you got the same outcome as the first fight.
Thing is...Peter has an ace up his sleeve...he's got a jab of his own & now he sets up combo's.
It's easy to pick Wlad...but it was easy to pick Toney in the rematch against Peter also now wasn't it?
Peter out boxed an inshape toney therefor i have to respect his ability and can only assume that it has improved since the previous run in with wlad. Wlads the favorite but peter pulling an upset is definitely not out of the question.
Peter is just not as clever of a boxer to beat Wladimir on points.Wladimir puts his punches together much better and has more weapons.Wladimir has a longer reach and is a faster puncher with both hands.I can see Wladimir winning an easier fight than in the first fight maybe even a TKO.
