Chavez would have killed Mayweather
I was watching some old Chavez footage and I gotta tell yall I had almost forgotten how tough that son of a bitch was. That guy had a rock for a head and his chin was out of this world. I am positive that his relentless style would have pounded Maywaether into defeat. I saw what Castillo did to Floyd. If JLC was able to do that to him just imagine what JCC would have done.

nothing to do with that its just when taylor and whitaker two great technical fights fought him they boxed his head off taylor was giving chavez clinic until he got stupid and brawled something mayweather would never do and whitaker outboxed chavez easily for 12 rounds and was robbed i think mayweather uses same gameplan as whitaker and wins decision

If Floyd beat 8 men with both his arms tied behind his back, his detractors will still be saying, "Oh yeah? Did you see him against Castillo???"

Those who think PBF would win say, "Did you see JCC - Taylor?"
But because of JCC's history of having troubles against quick slick guys like Taylor and Whitaker compared to Floyd's one close fight 5 years ago, I'm putting my money on Floyd. Except as in JCC- Taylor, I highly doubt Floyd would press for the knockout in the 12th and put himself in a precarious position to get KO'ed himself.
Enough of Floyd - Castillo I. It was a close fight 5 years ago. What could I say?

Seeing as Mayweather virtually skipped the 140lb division it's hard to judge that one.
If Mayweather had of fought Tszyu we might have a better guide, I think Mayweather by decision in a close one. The Whitaker fight sways me considerably in favour of Mayweather.

I don't really see the relevance of the Meldrick Taylor fight in building a case for Floyd to beat Chavez. Meldrick Taylor threw more punches in his fight with Chavez than Floyd usually does in three fights. Floyd would not be throwing perpetual motion shots to keep Chavez off him like Taylor was.
As to the Whitaker fight, again, I'm not sure how relevant it is. Both Floyd and Pea have good defense true, but they fight much differently. Whitaker throws more punches than Floyd, and he also works the body better than Floyd does. Whitaker's key to success against Chavez was being able to break Chavez down to the body before going back up to the head. Mayweather certainly didn't have any success in doing that to Castillo. When you consider Chavez is more skilled than Castillo, it spells bad news for Floyd imo.

you hit the fighter(nail) on the head with this one....PBF would have schooled Chavez like he schooled Baldomir... Walking forward at PBF only gets your a** beat to a pulp....those styles are becoming prehistoric in boxing now......
