Re: MArgarito and Williams at court
Look at Williams trying to stare Margarito down lol....
IMO if Margarito comes in top condition...(Not like the Clottey fight where he just squeeked by)....He would eat Williams up inside of 6 rds...All Williams has is height and power...Just my opinon
Re: MArgarito and Williams at court
I see it the other way. Because of Williams height and power he will win the day. It's not as if Margarito is a complete package. He's not fast or anything. As a matter of fact they're both largely similar. Tall, but Williams is taller, terrible defense, but Williams hasn't lost yet and they're both power fighters. The only problem with Williams in this match up is he'll get in too close rather than utilizing those long arms for all they're worth.
Re: Margarito and Williams at court
I don’t think Williams hits that hard at all? Did you see his last fight?
IMO he has height, nice speed and brilliant stamina... His not hard to hit though.
Plus Tony likes to walk his men down, so it seems to me almost inevitable that Williams will get knocked out :-\
Re: MArgarito and Williams at court
Well there were 4 men Tony couldn't walk down so inevitability isn't necessarily imminent. Both fighters are going to invite the other to their chins and it's a race to see whose will crack first. Youth, stamina and reach all tip in Williams' favor. I'll guess and say they're comparable in power.

I disagree. I think Williams has the advantages here height, speed, stamina and a certain element of power (which Williams possesses!) mean Williams has a real shot IMO...

I see it the other way: Margarito has the most overrated "power" in the sport. He is a pure accumulation puncher and has very little power at all. At this point though, I think Williams' lack of defense probably makes the difference. But Cotto will beat Margarito EASILY.

Willimas, IMO, has height, nice speed and brilliant stamina BUT, he is not hard to hit.
Tony likes to walk his men down, so it seems to me almost inevitable that Williams will get clocked good, hurt & knocked out :-\

3 of those 4 losses were when he was a teenager and one was a t 154 ::** ::** ::** ::** And how does stamina tip in Williams favour?
SHZA,Cotto will beat Margarito easily? I don't even think Cotto would say that and as a HUGE Cotto fan, there is no way he would beat Tony "easily"
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TRANSLATE THAT ARTICLe!!!!!! PLEASE!!!
Re: MArgarito and Williams at court
4 losses is 4 losses no matter what excuse you come up with.Williams throws 100 punches a round,so I definitely give him the stamina advantage. As for Margo walking his opponents down...he is gonna walk into nothing but punches.

Well,it's silly to take into account losses he suffered when he was a youngster fighting more experienced guys. And Margarito has thrown large volumes of punches against much better opposition than Williams has.
Re: MArgarito and Williams at court
Explain the loss against Santos then?Better opposition?Name them.I really dont see how the stamina issue is even a debate...because anyone who has seen Williams KNOWS.
Re: MArgarito and Williams at court
I'm not a Margarito fan and i'm from PR like Santos but if those fight gone 12 rounds the winner would have been Margo both were stop by a cut
