A lot of practice.. I don't think their is anything anyone could really suggest that will help you improve the accuracy of your jab other than practice jabbing over and over and over....
As for strength, their has been a few topics on strengthening the jab over the past few weeks so look for suggestions there....
But most of your strength will come from having a very solid stance and using perfect technique for your jab... If you are sloppy with punching form and technique it'll make it a lot harder to get the power you want.....
You know, practice is about the most boring suggestion anyone can give, but no one ever started out with a perfect jab, some PRO'S don't even have a perfect jab, but praciticing enough will almost always improve it if you use the correct form.
the double end bag is a great tool for developng fast and accurate punches.
Its also useful to practice head movement. IMO this bag is way too underated
enit^
i use it all the time, not only did it make me one of the fastest punchers in my gym, its also given me good accuracy and timing.
trouble is most people get bored cus they dont take the time to practice
and most people don't know how to properly use the thing.
Heres a little trick, get some rubber or elastic. It wantsto be tied to the back foot and held in the lead hand. If it catches the inside of the thigh on the front leg your feet are wrong. There should be tension on the rubber in the onguard position try it going backwards and forward, its a beut
I train Feur with something similar to get her hands back in to guard after she throws,Dynabands around the back,so every time she throws, the band is pulling her hands back to guardQuote:

I see were your going, her footwork is rarely an issue, and she can throw her jab at power and range pretty well,so I dont worry about it much.Quote:

Just saying that the bands do work to train technique
Bands I think are no good for technique, okay for speed and conditioning, its a different response to feel.
Actually her ability to come back in to round after throwing power shots immediatly improved once we brought in the bandsQuote:

She had this weird and bad habit of doing a slow circle when she threw a power punch with her left, yelled ,bitched and cajoled, wouldnt go awayQuote:
