Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Judah 'fully prepared!'
Super Zab Runs 8 Miles A Day, Spars Countless Rounds in Memphis in preparation for Cotto on June 9
http://www.fightnews.com/boxing/bc/toprank04.htm
Zab Judah is running 8 miles a day, sparring 10 or more rounds daily, taking on spar partners who studied Miguel Cotto video tapes "for weeks" said promoter Brian Young today in Memphis. "Zab is fully prepared," said Young, president of Prize Fight Boxing which promotes Judah. "Zab just sparred 10 hard rounds at our gym in Memphis. He went in against sparring partners who studied Cotto video tapes for weeks." The sparring partners include high-energy Lamont Peterson, a 20-0 junior welterweight, and Anthony Peterson, a 22-0 lightweight.
"When we announced Zab was fighting Cotto I went right to the film library," Young said. "I got six good Cotto tapes, gave them to Lamont and Anthony, told them to look at videos over and over. Our ultimate goal is to get every Cotto move down and win this fight.
"The Peterson brothers previously worked with DeMarcus Corley before he fought Cotto and looked at what happened in that fight," Young said. "As far as Judah goes, it's pretty much understood that the fight against Cotto will not be going the distance. That's how confident Zab is."
"Cotto chose the wrong fighter," Judah said. "I'll need about five rounds. New York is my town, not his."
Cotto vs. Judah "X-Plosive" Pay Per View at Madison Square Garden on June 9 is promoted by Top Rank in association with Prize Fight Boxing. Cotto vs. Judah will be broadcast on HBO Pay Per View.
Tickets at $500, $300, $200, $100 and $50 including a $4.50 facility charge may be purchased at the Madison Square Garden Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster Express (866-448-7849) and www.ticketmaster.com / www.thegarden.com
Former world lightweight champion Jose Armando Santa Cruz will return to the ring on Friday, January 5 to take on the always dangerous Luis "Vampiro" Arceo in the main event of a boxing card presented by Top Rank Inc. at the Dickerson's Events Center.
After reading that...my question & the body of this poll is: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Now Mickey...don't get excited over reading the words "body" & "poll" in the same sentence. ;D :bananasex:
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
I had to vote : Yes Wacko...even though you are wasted & hate Judah...I see where you are coming from!
Truthfully...I can see where I'm comin from on this one. Even though I love Cotto & want to see him blast Judah the fwock out...I think that Judah's speed will frustrate Cotto.
Now if Cotto can take it past the 6th...Judah might be fiz-ucked.
There again...a 100% motivated Judah is a tough nut to crack. I think that the Judah that beat the shit outta Spinks in the rematch beats Cotto.
I hate to say that...but I'm a boxing fan first...not a "sack swaddler"...like Judah or not...he's got game.
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
I voted yes. I hope and think that Cotto will take this, but Zab has more than decent power, movement, and speed. However, I don't think anyone has ever punished Zab's body like Cotto is going to try to do, which will open Cotto up for counters... I think it could go either way.
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
I think Judah takes him..I know Ill get sad clicked but I dont care..Zab is gonna f him up.

:coolclick: Agreed. I think that it could got either way also...but only if Cotto fights like he's in Puerto Rico...hey wait...where are they fighting? ;D

:coolclick: Unfortunately...I'm leaning more towards this also...but here's the X-Factor...my predictions suck ass...SO JUDAH GUNNUH GET KNOCKED THE FWOCK OUT!!!! ;D
Well...Wacko can only hope so. ;)

Not to sound like a drunken smart ass...even though I am one...heh heh heh...ahem...but everyone that votes...could you hammer out a little forecast for what you think could happen on either end of the fists?
Cheers & koneecheewah bitches...all opinions are valued...even the biased ones.

I think either way, unless Zab gets tagged, gets scared and runs all night, someone's getting KTFO. I think Judah could catch Cotto cold early and get the win. Or I think that Cotto savages Zab's body and stops him in the mid to late rounds.
Hey Wacko, did you ever post a write up of the PBF - De La Hoya fight? Maybe I just missed it.

Totally agree.
Unless Zab get's tagged Cotto's gonna have a ruff night on his hands.
Nah babe...I didn't put the write up up yet...but I am gonna do so tonight...honestly...I just figured that everyone had heard enough "ball blowing" from me on it.
I'll put it up in a few & post the link on this thread for ya.
Cheers.
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Heres how I see it going, round one Zab feels him out by using his southpaw jab at firing away when Cotto comes in. Then once he figures out Cotto which isnt hard, look how that german guy...damn forgot his name...uh, Oktay Urkal (thank god for boxrec) was land with his counters. If that guy had any juice in his shots and half the speed of Judah, he would have won. The only thing I worry about are those spine shots..he could wind Judah and then hurt em. Zab looked in good shape but that 1 round wasnt even half a look. I think Cotto picked him thinking hes ripe for the picking but I think zab is about to start the second coming of Zab, rematch with Mayweather after he wins ;)
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
..................thinking...........thinking..... .......right....
This might be a very interesting fight.Seeing that ZAB has a 72' reach on COTTO this might give him some problems if ZAB uses the strategy in throwing the jabs to contain COTTO.I know that ZAB gets frustrated and loses his head at times when like other boxers who go in with just one plan.If ZAB happens to adjust and keep his head right he migh pull this fight to become a good if not great upset.ZAB has a good chance if he's able to exploit his jab and control the fight if that.
Now with COTTO...............having a 67' reach, he might have a bit of difficulty, but he loves giving the pressure which at times gives his opponents at times problems.COTTO needs to get inside with his reach and give the pressure to ZAB if he needs to win.COTTO has great power especially giving the fact that he gives it to the body with his signature punch(left hook). Now don't get me wrong ZAB has power as well, cause i've seen COTTO buckle a couple of times when giving a nice if not perfect hit to the chin.IMOgiven the facts or getting the info on both these fighters I would go for COTTO just the fact that most of the times ZAB loses his head and ends up losing himself while COTTO remains focused and determind.......................Well that was my thought on a match that might be a surprise for alot of fans.
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Judah has a bad chin and this does not bode well for him in this fight. I pick Cotto
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Only one? Nahh I see Judah winning this one VERY early.
I said in one of the Judah-Cotto prediction threads that Judah takes it in 2.
I'm not suggesting that Judah wipes him out easily, mind you.
I just like Judah's ability to start quick and land effective punches early in fights.
I couple that with Cotto's chin, which I am not 100% sold on.
Judah tags Cotto in the second, Cotto gets up from it albeit groggy and legless, Judah goes to town on a wobbled Cotto, ref stoppage, TKO in 2.
Note: I like Cotto. It's just a prediction.
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
if COTTO can get past the early strong rounds for judah then i see COTTO KO Judah with that monster left hook over and over again like a video game!
COTTO the future baby! Real great guy to carry the sport!
Re: Is Wacko the only one who thinks that Cotto vs Judah has upset stamped on it?
Upset how? The way I see this fight it's a pick'em match between a young brawler with massive KO power and a cagey vet who is a boxer/puncher.
No matter who wins there is no upset.....unless of couse they draw, that in my opinion would be the only way this fight could surprise me

Pavlik will knock out Miranda next weelend biatches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
