Bulked up Spinks ready!

Cory "The Next Generation" Spinks (36-3, 11 KOs) and his longtime manager and trainer Kevin Cunningham wrapped up their Deerfield Beach, Fla.-based training camp at Punch Fitness yesterday with a lighter-than-normal workout. Spinks will arrive in Memphis, Tenn., on Tuesday to make final preparations for his showdown on Saturday at FedExForum against undefeated World Boxing Association and World Boxing Organization middleweight champion Jermain "Bad Intentions" Taylor (26-0-1, 17 KOs). Spinks has added muscle to his frame, tipping the scales at 162 pounds, two pounds over the middleweight limit, at his world-championship-bout required weigh in one week prior to the match. He looks good physically but will the mass limit his movements? I have yet to see Mayorga and Spinks fight but other than that,I think Corey is a very very good boxer. He doesnt run much,combinations and an excellent jab. If the mass slows him down,he is going to get KTFO!!

Buffed or not, he'll still run like a beotch. And he'll probably get KO'd too, least he should, thats what he's there for.

Taylor hasnt had a knock out in a good while...I wouldnt be surprised if Spinks gets his sparks knocked out....

Hopefully then Taylor can take on someone his own size. A Calzaghe fight would be nice, but does Taylor really feel any need or urgency to move up in weight? :-\

Middleweight is his for the time being...

To me at least, it looks like Taylor is going to fight the winner of the Miranda vs Pavlik fight. Thats the way HBO is settin up the card anyway. He will definately have his hands full there. Edison Miranda is gonna bring it big time. :boxingmatch:

Spinks could win this end of the day this is boxing anything can happen i would laugh my head off if he did then Calzaghe would have no big fight left then we would get Calzaghe vs the one legged Froch Calzaghe would think that was a 50/50 fight

Wrong. Let Spinks win...then Miranda could slaughter Spinks & move on to a Super Fight against Calzaghe.

Trust me...with Taylor having lost some of his lustre, HBO's in the market for a new middleweight king & theyv'e been tuggin on ole' Miranda's sack for quite some time now.

There's gonna be a "New NEW Sherriff in Town". ::** :P

Miranda would smash Calzaghe to bits in my opinion ;)

Hell yeah HBO is hypin up Miranda, everybody loves a puncher and Miranda is definately a puncher. They want Taylor to first get a good looking KO though, and that is why they are bringing in Spinks. Then they want to set up a big fight between Miranda and Taylor.

i hope spinks sumhow wins so taylor will be forcedd to fight these tough meddleweights and mayweather can move up o 160 and win aagainst spinks

The thing is. When Spinks moves up and fights the pace he did at the weight class before then he gets tired. So if he goes into 160 trying to fight the pace he usually does he will still get tired. If Cunningham should teach him anything, its how to pace himself.
