Who else thinks that Cotto's getting KTFO?
I might be the only one but I think that Cotto's getting KTFO on June 9th. Cotto does look good at 147 but let's be honest, the guy hasn't faced a puncher since Torres. He's been fighting guys that realistically have had no shot. What I've realized is that Cotto takes to many punches and he's a basic come forward fighter in the Trinidad mold. People will say that he takes them because they don't hurt him, no, he takes them because defensively he's flawed. Cotto has one gameplan, come forward, use the jab and break your opponent's will. But Judah's hands are powerful and very very fast and Judah will use his athletic ability to keep Cotto off balance. Mark my words, if Cotto takes shots from Judah like he took against Urkal, he won't need to count sheep, he's going to sleep early. JUDAH!!! JUDAH!!! JUDAH!!!

It is, of course, a possibility. This is Cottos biggest test thus far. It is how he handles this that we will know how far he has or hasnt come along...
Im favouring a Zab win at the moment, but I can easily see this a pick 'em...

well it's a possibility, zab has power we knew that, but i still believe cotto will win via stoppage, split, or UD. But a very very focus zab can really pose problem to any boxer i mean anyone. for what it's worth he is still the dark horse in his division, we could never tell when is that super focus zab suddenly appears and dominate someone great.

You need watch Cotto the boxer from earlier in his career. He only started to really bang after the Pinto fight. And if you'e insinuating Cotto is 1 dimensional,you are way way off. Guys that have had no shot? LOADS of people thought Paulie was going to outslick him as they thought Quintana would do the same. And although was not a massive puncher,he was certainly a bigger,sharper one than Baldozar ;) :D

ive been calling for a judah vs. cotto/margarito fight since long before there was ever any talk of a match taking place. either opponent would be easy work for zab and both of them have been mega hyped by arum. a win over either of these hype machines would be a big enough name on judahs resume to put him back in the spotlight
if cotto wins this one, then i will be the first one to praise him and admit that i was wrong. i really dont see that happening though.

for me it depends on which zab shows up, the focused or unfocused one if its the focus one i think he wins if its not he loses.

Just wondering, have you seen Cotto fight Quintana? He didn't just walk straight in in that fight, he is a come forward fighter but he made it work by throwing punches from the outside while moving in and the inside while moving out, it was a tremendous showing on his part. And Quintana was a lot better suited to beat Cotto by staying away, creating angles and keeping Cotto off balance then Zab is imo.
Judah isn't really a keep away boxer, he doesn't have that discipline I don't think. He's usually the aggressor and when he gets stalked he falls into bad habits like backing straight up, dropping his hands ect not to mention he goes into shutdown when he's hurt. And Cotto is the biggest puncher he has ever faced imo. Also the first guy who really rips to the body.
I think Judah will do really good in the opening, he'll time his shots good, get in and out good, get a little flashy but the persistence of Cotto does him in. He has to fight a mistake free fight, and Judah is full of mistakes.
