Ahh forgot about Wright but i think he is too slow and Jones wouldn't stay in front of Wright and would just pick his shots yes Wright would block quite a fair bit but Jones would win comfortable ud imo but it would of been very interesting match up indeed.

I haven't seen there fights but really and truthfully even though i haven't seen them so i can't comment i wouldn't give fighters that far back much chance against super fast and super power of Jones the sport has evolved except for hws anyway.

i think people are kidding them selves if they think winky could of beaten him or even posed problems...
even now winky has not beaten an astablished middle weight... to those who thught he beat taylor (and i am one of them) it was damn close against a guy who was lazy and fought with little heart... prime hopkins and roy would of made easy work of winky...
I thik calzaghe would of pushed roy to his limits at SMW... if we are talking prime for prime when calzaghe was able to sparr and keep tuned up his speedpower, fittness foot work and raw skill wouldof been a huge test for roy... honestly, for those who write calzaghe off as a no chances, if that was the ase why would roy turn down over $5.5m? he knew calzaghe was a huge test
at LHW, ezzard chales would of been a huge test for him and i would have to sit on the fence for that..
IMO Billy Conn had what it took to beat him, no dobt in my mind. I think billy is a very very underrated fighter, a true great.

Nobody you guys said would stand a chance except maybe G-Mac.
These are guys who I don't think could, but might
1. Billy Conn
2. Ezzard Charles. Thats it.

Jones is too good for Calzaghe and Calzaghe eats too many right hands and Jones has terrific right hand and great left hook too talented too quick too much power for Calzaghe.

Maybe your right but imo i think out of the Middleweights Gman has best chance he is super aggressive and it would be very tough for Jones to survive.

Thats more of an ego trip than anything else... if he had fought jones he would of fought with a whole new respect knowing fullwelljones's speed and power...
you would of seen a calzaghe looking to use his skills to get the win, rather than the chin up-ego calzaghe who was fighting guys who wern't quite in his own league...
Look at the lazy fight (no im not saying lacy is anything compared to roy) but early on joe boxed, used his jab, got in and out, kept his chin down... didn't reallydo that other times plainly down to the fact he knew his chin was that good and knew he could take the punches and getthrough them

Calzaghe isn't exactly that hard to hit he got tagged so many times by Richie Woodhall and Robin Reid with right hands and there like turtles compared to Jones you know me Preme i think Calzaghe is talented but Jones is something else mate and i don't think he would win maybe he could steal few rounds but it would be pretty clear cut decision win for Jones.

stanley ketchell has great chin nd has nd has amazing power i mean he went sixrounds wid sam langford,12 rounds wid jack johnson in one of the most brutal kos ive seen so id be very suprised if he could keep ketchel of off him also i dont see him knocking out grebb either nd the amount oof leather he used to throw i think would cause roy plent of problems. So i think ketchell could stop him nd although its hard to imagine some1 doing so grebb could get a ud over roy. Also marcel cerdan was a monster also i would give monzon a chance
Re: So Who Could Of Beat Roy Jones At Middleweight SuperMiddleweight or Lightheavy ?
Truthfully there is no one I would pick at either of those 3 weightclasses to beat Roy. There are a lot of guys that have good chances (Gman is a good example but I think he'd have a hard time getting set and using his power against Roy). I think Hearns would give Jones a lot of problems with his reach and speed.
Re: So Who Could Of Beat Roy Jones At Middleweight SuperMiddleweight or Lightheavy ?
I don't see how Calzaghe could possibly give Roy any problems.. He is too slow, and doesn't box well enough. Roy would catch him a lot in his awkward off balance moments and knock him on his ass more than once more because of balance than anyhting else.
Re: So Who Could Of Beat Roy Jones At Middleweight SuperMiddleweight or Lightheavy ?
While ever i've got an hole in my arse Calzaghe would never even come close to beating a prime Roy Jones Jnr he did'nt even beat Robin Reid in mine and alot of other peoples opinions. ;) 8)
