Gene Tunney vs Rocky Marciano

I think it be a intresting fight i think Tunney was a good fighter who had a good grip on how to box but on the other hand i know Rocky had incredible strength. People may disagree but i think Tunney could outbox the rock for a decision but if he got caught it be over with and rock would win i give Tunney 50% chance and i give the rock a 50% chance and thoughts on this fight.

I didn't think people even knew who tunney was because i never hear his name ever mentioned in the forums but i guess i was wrong because of the answers you guys gave you must know now good he was and i like both answers i thought everyone would be saying Rocky

Tunney was extremely talented he would comfortably win a decision.

It is a shame when people think of tunney they think of the long count in the Dempsey fight

Gene Tunney barely survived Dempsey, who was a smaller, less tenacious, less skilled, not as hard cracking version of Marciano. And yes, I understand Marciano was small and not incredible skilled. And yes I realizee Dempsey hit hard, and was damn tenacious. All of my points still stand. Tunney would not last three rounds with the rock.

Are you serious ?? Dempsey got one lucky punch on Tunney he totally outboxed Dempsey twice and plus Tunney fought great fighters like Harry Greb and was never stopped Tunney would beat Marciano same way Walcott was doing it except Tunney is faster on his feet.

If rocky lands it would go his way because he had the power.

But I personally think that tunney would outbox him and stay out of harms way.

Ok that alright and all but i think Dempsey was faster then rock as well

Shame he is remembered for the wrong reasons great fighter he was mate underrated.

Think he is forgotten because he was intellectual and not a killer like a Dempsey,Marciano and Tyson
