C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
copied and pasted from another board::
"Oh, he'll beat me if I stand in front of him, because he's a quality puncher and quality boxer. But I won't stand in front of him. I've got dimensions.
"I've studied him - he only counters to the body. So I won't lay in-close and I'll punch from range.
"If anybody wants to crowd me, 36 minutes is a long, long time for me to land the correct uppercut where they are on the hook.
"Slug me and I've got cast-iron constitution, believe me!
"McCallum, he's at the end of the line, I'm at the start of the line and so that means there's a 76% chance I'll win.
"The key is being 100% certain of that 76% because that's how you maximize your chances. That's what you call conviction. The fight is mine."
- Christopher Livingstone Eubank, April 1990
interesting. was that fight talked of back then ?
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
"Cast-iron constitution," I absolutely love that quote.
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
I Love Chris, but i have read all these quotes from him on these top fighters, but he never fought them, he could talk the talk but why didnt he walk the walk?
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
Mc Cullam would be his worst nightmare.
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
Chris Eubank is one of the Great Eccentric Fighters of All Time and it's nice to know he is still just eccentric now ( actually I already knew dat when he parked his truck in Central London and was arrested)... I'm sure one of the best technicians of all time, super skilled Mike McCallum would lose that fight cause he would laugh to Death as soon as he would see Eubank's entrance and poses to the crowd but then he could also have played Steve Collins and thus getting to disturb the iron-cast schizo for not getting the attention he desperately needed.

What does this even mean? ???
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
McCallum would beat Eubank no question.
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
MCallum would stop Eubank with a body shot in the mid-rounds
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
Eubank's would of got blown out by Mccallum in 3 rounds.

Mccallum was on another level than anybody Eubanks faced.

Why didnt Mccallum not stop Collins or Herol Graham? I tell you right now i would of give you 1000/1 Mccallum knocking Eubank out in 3 rounds and you know he wouldn't but then again you have a huge chip on your shoulder.
I love them words Blown away lmao.
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
No one stops Prime Eubank except maybe Roy Jones .
Lol Sugar Shaw , body shot in mid rounds, if Nigel Benn couldn't stop Eubank then i don't think Mike would either. Eubank maybe wasn't the best boxer (though very good) , but he was made of Iron and he was rarely even wobbled back in the day.
and lol at "blown out in 3 " , you've got real good evidence to suggest that i expect ? That would never happen.
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
Just like to add that I am not sure if Eubank would win, but he would almost definately not be knocked out.
Re: C.Eubank on how he wuld beat Mike Mccallum
Considering he moved up not one but two divisions in the twilight of his career and gave Carl Thompson everything he could handle I'd say it's safe to say that McCallum wouldn't have knocked him out.
A young inexperienced Michael Watson went 11 rounds with the body snatcher and Steve Collins on a weeks notice went the distance.
Eubank had the best chin of any British fighter ever. His only stoppage, was in his final fights against a crusierweight world champion on cuts, in a fight he was winning.
There is nobody in history at 160 or 168 who could have blown him away in three rounds.
