Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
Now in the aftermath of the Scott Harrison and Nicky Cook affair and the fact that they would've been fighting for the WBO Belt then...do you think that Harrison (a fit Harrison) would've beaten Luevano???
I think not. Luevano showed he was a good boxer and overwelmed Cook, but Harrison ON HIS DAY was no slouch.
Any thoughts?
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
I'd like to see him straigthen himself out and comeback. Probably won't happen but I don't like to see anybody throw their life away even if they are Scottish.
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
Harrison would be far too drunk to beat Luevano 8)
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
I rtemember Harrison having trouble with a few southpaws
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
Yes im glad we have seen the last of Harrison , but i have to say he could have beaten any of the feathers present and greats alike !!!!!............................................. .............................at a drinking contest that is ;D ;D ;D ;D
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
Harrison is and always has been overrated. I think he would of lost just as easily.
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
I think Harrison was great and had alot of potential, I liked his style compact and fast hands. Havent seen too many of his fights but definately a waste of talent. Man, he really went south too...he seems to get in alot of trouble in Tenerife.....booze and women. Get ya every time.
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
Southpaw Abelyan made Harrison look a mug for a few rounds before wilting. I think Harrison would have made a better fist of things than Cook did to be honest but I think I'd be inclined to lean towards Luevano. Need to see a bit more of him to be fair.
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
I'd love to see Harrison pull himself together. He has obviously got real problems. I hate to see a champ down like that. I think it may be a case of start from scratch. He could still make waves at domestic and then go from there.
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
Harrison has problem with movers so it would have been more difficult than someone standing in front of him like Brodie. He was struggling at the weight and probably would have lost last Saturday.
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
Harrison is ......
.... simply a Glaswegian tramp who someone discovered could box a bit
.... never a world class performer and would have been found out sooner or later in any case
.... a thick wastrel who pissed his modicum of talent up the wall
.... a lengthy jail sentence waiting to happen
Discuss?
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
Harrison when he's on form is a match for anybody,9 times out of 10 he does have a head-down-hard hitting-swarming style but he is capable of putting on a pretty decent technical display aswell(watch his fight againt Julio Pablo Chacon) and he's as tough as they come-great chin, heart, good finisher and b4 his troubles started he always put 100% into his training.I aint saying he would beat everybody but he would have given anybody a good fight and would'nt quit.
Re: Quick Question...on Scott Harrison
and by the way "X" a fellow "glaswegian tramp" Willie Limond very nearly put Amir khans lights out this past saturday and coming from Scotland myself i could confidently say if it had been Harrison in there (who is a better finisher) Englands Golden Boy's record would be 12-1 right now instead of 13-0

Yes, but Limond is not a tramp ...... he trained like a pro and has acted like a pro throughout his career.
... and, yes, Harrison would have finished off Khan (assuming he was sober enough)
