I was just going over this vid and I noticed the ref warning Gomez.
I let the shiet slide since the fight was so one sided but, why did the ref warn Gomez?

That ref is a old school heavyweight. He gave Gatti alot of respect as far as stopping the fight, alot of ref's would have jumped in before the k.o.

Maybe he was telling him that if he hits Gatti in the head he might knock him out???? He may have just remembered he left a roast in the oven and was worried it would overcook so wanted to get the fight over with.
I think Nueman thought it was low, he was on the other side and couldn't see. I've never liked Neuman as a ref.
I think Nueman saw his $50,000 bet on Gatti,the rest all in on the over 10.5 on Killersheep's Spoortsbook going down the toilet, and got desperate.

from where the ref was standing, it might have looked like gomez threw a left to the thigh
The ref was asking Gomez for an autograph. If you read his lips he say 'aint you that guy from the contender.'
