There has been a war of words between the Cintron camp and the Williams camp and I orginally thought Kermit and his team would want nothing to do with PW. I was wrong. Here is what George Peterson,PW's trainer said about fighting Kermit
GP: We don’t need that(Kermit's) belt. There’s just nothing there, you know? He’s a big crybaby. We run from nobody. Nobody. Margarito. Walter Matthyse. He [Cintron] beat Walter Matthyse after we beat Matthyse and tore him apart. He was no more good after Paul got to him. Beat him for ten whole rounds. Beat the brakes off of him."
This is after CONSTANT PW claims that all he wants do is unify..
On the other hand,Emmanuel Steward had this to say:
"if you want to fight the best and collect all the belts and be welterweight champion, call our promoter and let’s do the fight December 8th. “
The only one that is available is Paul Williams but his people don’t even want to talk about fighting Kermit Cintron.’
The date is there and they are the only big names WW that appear to be free presuming Tony fights Zab and Cotto Mosley and PBF-Hatton happening. Kermit wants it,Manny wants it and it would be a unification,so what is Peterson taliing about.

I like Paul but that's a funny statement. Margarito, ok, he deserves credit for trying to make that fight, but am I reading that wrong or is his trainer implying that Matthyse was something to be afraid of, that he should get credit for not running from Matthyse. ??? That's like Enzo Calzaghe talking about the kind of courage it takes not to duck Peter Manfredo.
Anyway, I'd like to see this fight. I don't think Paul is by any means scared of Cintron, I think his managers just probably think its too much risk, not enough reward. Cintron still doesn't get much credit at all from a lot of boxing fans so Paul beating him might not be recognized as a big achievement by a lot of people.

I just read the whole interview, hilarious. Dude sounds just like Floyd Mayweather, actually I'm convinced that it is Floyd Mayweather just pretending to be Paul's manager. He is dead set against a Cintron fight, and wants Judah. Fucking everybody wants to fight Judah. ;D I don't blame them, Paul would win and Zab's still overrated so he'd get more credit for beating him then he really should.

If he fights and beats Cintron that sets him up for a bigger name down the road, but people quickly forget where they came from or what they stood for when they see $$$$$.

If someone like kenney bailis or a ref who would of stopped him clinching from the first few rounds toni would of taken that fight outright, sur ehe started slow but you watch, up untill round 6 i think he was alowed to clinch, the ref warnned him, ehs topped doing it and lsot every round untill he took advantage of the lats round and help on like a btich again, fuck that and fuck him it was bullshit - thats plain off cheating, thatw as outright stopping magarito being able to hit him.

Have you even seen the fight? Williams dominated the first 6th rounds with out holding. And he took the 12th round as well. Give Margarito the other rounds (were Williams held a little) and it's 7 to 5 Williams. You should attack Hatton as much as you attack Williams
