99% of the time I ignore the announcers unless it is Merchant because Larry Comes out with some S***.......

Teddy is pure entertainment....Everything he says is an analogy.....and he uses the craziest shit.....After someone elses states an opinion he even turns their opinion into an anology....
Like he was smoking up before the show.....

Brian Kenny---Johnson needs to use his jab more against Stevens the slower fighter.

Teddy Atlas--So what you are trying to say Brian is Johnson should play cat and mouse with Stevens using his jab like a trap and baiting in Stevens with some cheese once Stevens is full from eating cheese he should lure him into his trap and close it because He is quicker then the mouse....Is That what you were trying to say??.....

I also ran a poll a couple months back asking members to guess which theme for his analogy Atlas would use for the upcoming weekend.

Unfortunately I can't find it now, which is a shame, as like all my posts it was wildly entertaining and a great read :P

Actually the fight was months ago but it can it be a week by week thing, there's still plenty of new analogies to come from Teddy yet 8)

I'm just waiting for Atlas to tell Kenny that "if you take cranberries and stew them in applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does" ;D

So what you're saying Zab is that: If the glass is half-empty and you're that glass, then to fill it all the way up you have to systematically turn your opponent, the half-full glass, slowly but surely in the direction you need to get his water in your glass, so he's empty and runs out of water. And when you do that, your glass is full and you take home the win from the squared circle. Right???

I tell everyone that if they really want to see an HONEST announcer, they have to watch Atlas for two reasons:

1. No matter who is losing, he gives a good analogy of what it would take to get back in the fight.
2. He doesn't automatically say a single good punch landed at the end of a round will win the round for the favored fighter.

Showtime has the worst announcers, unless the favored fighter is absolutely without any doubt getting his butt handed to him, they will always talk about how good he is doing.

HBO comes in at a close second to last for the same reason. Tell me if this doesn't sound fairly familiar:

Heh, heh, heh, OK Jim, I of course have the favored fighter up by almost every round due to the fact I apparently watch a completely different f****ng fight than anyone else.

One last thing, I've always known Teddy to use analogies however within the past year, it has gotten way out of hand. He has got to stop!

I love Teddy Atlas, he's like the punchy Yoda of boxing.
His book was good too.

Teddy's fight plan is class!

I like Teddy Atlas (even though he's an ugly Moe Sizlac looking mofo)! Hes the classic straight shooter, theres no bullshit from him. I remember him commentating on an early Butterbean fight where his opponent was going down from phantom punches and it looked like a terrible work. Teddy was angry as hell and spazzed out, ridiculing both the guys and picking apart the replays to expose the bullshit. Its like Teddy loves boxing so much he was furious when someone would try to disgrace it like that.

Yeah Teddy's great and spot on with his stuff; he is an expert at what he talks about. But sometimes that analogy stuff leaves me dehydrated trying to work it out. A few months ago he made a courtroom with exhibits a,b, and c analogy with lawyers and s#it. I had the proverbial deer in the headlight look trying to figure out what the #### he was saying. Sometimes I miss the fight trying to figure it out ::** Joe Tessitore always gets that look like he's about to start laughing when Teddy starts rambling. What great jobs!!
