TEDDY ATLAS makes PREDICTIONS on up coming mega-fights!

This past friday on friday night fights, Teddy atlas gave his predictions on the up coming MEGA_FIGHTS! Here's who Teddy picked:

Taylor over Pavlik

Barrera over Pacquiao

Kessler over Calzaghe

Cotto over Mosley

Mayweather over Hatton

The BARRERA-PACMAN fight still leaves me with ??? I still haven't made my pick. Other than that, I agree with the other 4. What do you guys think. He said Cotto will likely get hurt early, and probably fall, but has great heart and will overcome with a win on a great but tough fight.

I think pac will win his fight as well and i'm undecided on the calzaghe-kessler fight. Other than that i agree with the list.

Teddy 'Marble Mouth' Atlas is hardly ever right. I think the last time he made a prediction that was correct was back in the early 90's.

Teddy is a Jinx and the fact that he picked Cotto over Mosley, has me a bit worried. Anyway,

My picks are as follows:

Pavlik stops Taylor and Taylor moves up in weight. B-Hop will be waiting ;D And Sergio Mora calls out Pavlik. ;D

Pacquiao stops Barrera and Barrera retires.

Calzaghe beats Kessler on some bs decision and Calzaghe offers Manfredo a rematch ;D

Cotto stops old Mosley but Mosley does not retire. Mosley to fight ODLH again for big cash ;D

Mayweather beats on Hatton like Hatton has never been beat on. Mayweather calls out Cotto.

Teddy's list looked fine using the logic he was using.....i don't see floyd calling out anyone though, people want what he has not the other way around...him beating any of the current contenders is no big deal and nothing is to be gained by beating any of them, if he beats them all people will still talk shit and say there a whole list of new guys he'd have to face to be respected, but if one of them beats floyd the world would end....the old taylor could easily beat pavlik coming off his biggest win over miranda ??!!! Which i still don't understand how it made him all of the sudden a top contender, it's more of taylors lack of performance than anything pavlik has done IMO...the kessler joe match is still a toss up in my book, paq beats barrera, and shane will surprisingly KO cotto.

I would give Mayweather mad props if he beat Cotto.

If Cotto beats Mosley, then it's gonna happen. Maybe not the next fight, but within Mayweather's next 2 or 3 following his demolition of Hatton.

If you're saying that "There is no way Mayweather calls out Cotto," because you dont think that Cotto has a shot at winning...........I would give Cotto a small chance.

If Mosley that fought Vargas the first time shows up, then Cotto wins (had that 1st Mosley vs. Vargas went the distance, Vargas was gonna pull it off) but if regular Mosley shows up, Mosley's gonna beat the prospect down.

Mosley is getting old. You can't ever rule out the age factor.

my thought on it

Pavlik over Taylor ( I like what i have seen from the Pavlik fellow, Taylor has been flat last few times out. can Taylor raise his game to beat the taller action packed Pavlik? 6'2 Middleweight with power and determination factor is hard to beat.

Pacquiao over Barrera.. first match was not even close. why would this be different? Pacman wins inside 6 rounds

Calzaghe over Kessler . It's a hard one to call.. I remember watching Calzaghe beating me mate Jeff Lacy pretty good. Jeff is a great fighter. this is one not to miss.

Cotto over Mosley hard to call this one.. even match really. both guys are simply fantastic fighters. Guess I'll go with the body attack of Cotto. a good body puncher can even the playing field very fast . I see Cotto getting caught some and having some problems within the match.

Hatton over Mayweather . another great match... Ricky has the mindset he won't be denied, very physical strong.. This is a perfect recipe for beating Mayweather as Ricky will maul, stay on the chest of Mayweather. jockeying for position and creating openings through grappling on the inside. Hatton will blitz Floyd from the gate. Mayweather will not be able to shake this aggressive lad like he did vs. Gatti and Baldomir . Great fight this !

As lazy and as horrible as Jermain has been in his past couple of fights I still won't bet against him in a BIG fight....and if my memory serves me right this fight will be at 168 anyways.

Teddy has some good picks and honestly all of those could happen....now it depends on how he explains HOW or WHY those would be the outcomes as to whether he's an idiot or a genius or somewhere inbetween.

actually, this is Jermain's last fight at 160 before he goes up to 168, and Pavlik said that he was gonna be at middleweight for a while.

The Taylor - Pavlik fight is at 160, but if Pavlik wins the rematch takes place at 168.
