Samuel Peter resembles a young George Foreman!

When i see Samuel Peter throw combos as fierce as that, i cant help but think of a young George Foreman, or a prime Liston!
theres no doubt that peter punches as hard as a foreman or liston, jus look at the jeremy williams KO! just hearing his punches land, skim, and graze is enough for one to understand how hard this guy punches! vert heavy hands.
anyone else feel the same way?
Re: Samuel Peter resembles a young George Foreman!
I think Peters power is overrated. The Williams knock out was brutal but Williams was always a small heavyweight with a weak chin. I'm thinking you never saw a young Foreman or Liston fight before cuz Peter looks nothing like them.

thats what i said. he reminds me of a young foreman when he throws ferocious combos like the one in the video above.
Re: Samuel Peter resembles a young George Foreman!
I can see similiarities between Peter and Liston, but not Foremn. Foreman was taller than most of his opponents, and his style was much different to Peter. Yeah they are both HW's with power but thats about where the resemblance ends.
Re: Samuel Peter resembles a young George Foreman!
Peter isn't even good enough to be called a poor mans George Foreman.

mmmmm....No.Peter is apuncher and it sounds weird saying this but he has better boxing skills than 1st foreman.but I think foreman was much stronger hitter.
Jeremy williams gets KTFO just tying his shoes when the blood rushes to his head.He was also layed out by HENRY AKINwande!but That was a Fierce punch from peter.

Did you ever see a young Foreman fight? The man didn't know how to throw a proper combination. Foreman use to just wing punches. Not combinations.

If Foreman had better punching technique he would of killed someone and i agree he never used to throw combinations he used to throw wild hooks and uppercuts i don't think i ever even see young Foreman throw one combination ??

Ain't that the truth...Imagine if he had some short power packed punches like a young Tyson....Man
Re: Samuel Peter resembles a young George Foreman!
well if you havent seen foreman throw one combination then i dont think you have seen a young foreman fight.
a combo is when you throw atleast 3 or 4 punches in bunches. now if you watch foreman fight he did that when he was younger. i dont know what u all call combos. jus becos he has wide punches, doesnt mean they not combos. if you watch him beat frazier, you will see him throw one combo in particular, jab, straight right left, it was wild, wide but it landed and it was extremly powerful. occasionally he'll uppercut instead of hook.
and to ice cold boxing- you say that if foreman new the proper technique to punching, he would have killed someone. im not hear to piss you off but thats one of the most stupidest things i've heard on this forum for quite some time. your not the first to say it, dont worry you wont be the last either.
jus cos he threw alot of wide punchs, it doesnt mean he didnt have the basic technique there. he almost killed frazier with the punches he threw. watch how he threw the hooks and uppercuts when he has frazier on the ropes (back towards camera) he is stepping with them hooks and turning his waist as fast and as much as possible, he is also turning from the leg (pivoting back foot). he knocks frazier into the air!!!
short power packed? lol. his arms were too long for that. also them wide swings gave him EXTRA power cos the distance they travelled gaining more speed along the way.

I have watched most of Foreman's fights don't tell me i need to study up maybe you need to because he doesn't throw combinations when he does its rare and when i said i have never seen him throw 1 combination i was being sarcastic i thought that was obvisious.

Again i was being sarcastic i thought that was obvisious and of course if he would of had better punching technique he would of been more effective i thought that was obvisious if you truly don't believe that then thats one of dumbest things i've heard on this forum except Joel Julio being better challenge than ODLH.

I know exactly what a combo is i train in boxing and have watched more fights than you have had hot dinners.

Don't worry about VD. He picks on everyone. You stated a great argument, Lionheart, whether I agree with your view or not. You write well, which is more than most.
