Setanta sports, What the F##K!
After only having subscribed to Setanta this week for the boxing alone im already pissed off with it, is tonight a display of the kind of bullshit service I can expect? Not only do we lose the signal in the tenth round of tonights fight but when it does come back on we simply join the action for the last minute or less of round twelve. Wouldnt it have been netter to pick up where we left offf with a slight delay? At least show me what I missed after the fight for Gods sake! But no, all I get is here we are again - Barrera with a fairly big cut to the cheek and ive no idea what had hapenned, and then the fights over and Ive missed almost a quarter of it - what a joke.

Im with you . I was more than angry at the time. I thought Barrera was guna win then when it went off air I thought it may just be a temp thing but it went on for ages .
Whats more annoying is they took the opportunity to get some advertising in which took the p**s .
Well annoyed with Setanta. I paid to watch that fight and I couldnt watch it !

You can't blame them for the satellite signal failing, it's not within their control, would have happened whether Sky or the BBC/ITV/whoever were showing the fight. They wouldn't be able to get the bit they missed either until much later too. On the bright side they've got the card next weekend too, the Calzaghe fight, Cotto-Mosley............

If we miss 3 rounds of any of those next fights then someone at Setanta may wake up next to their horses head, we all know paddy's love their gee gees 8)
Re: Setanta sports, What the F##K!
I subscribe to Setanta for the football - kept it for after the initial fifteen quid 3 month deal as they have Calzaghe fight
Until I read this thread I just assumed the Barrera fight wasn't on UK tv at all , as I had checked Sky schedule - never thought to check Setanta.... ::**
still it's repeated at 7 tonight
Re: Setanta sports, What the F##K!
I had the Hump, it was getting interesting.
Re: Setanta sports, What the F##K!
That was seriously funking bollocks.
Especially at 5.30 in the morning.
Re: Setanta sports, What the F##K!
It was total bs..
To add to a bad situation i hate to hear those commentators talk theyr crap about boxing aswell..
They really arent very boxing educated and i suspect that though it seemed setanta were sticking the knife in by showing adverts (Which was disgusting) in actual fact they just had to save the commentators who were a little stunned by the stoppage of action and had very little time or knowledge to talk of..

Yup . I felt the same. We missed the most important part of the fight

I was really quite shocked that they didnt sift through the recording and start again from the tenth..They rejoined with a minute left of the twelth and left it at that.. Poor showing really..
Although i had been scoring it throughout.. I had missed two vital rounds and really been quite unable to judge the 12th aswell so thats three rounds and i just couldnt keep up or forge a complete opinion which blows tbh..Lol
But i have yet to see a few of the interesting fights this weekend so i may perk up shortly :)
Peace
Re: Setanta sports, What the F##K!
Dude I've had so many issues with setanta since I got it that I cancelled it last week. When I ordered it for Cotto-Judah I got perfect service. Stayed up for the Hatton fight and just before it started, it froze. I tried everything to get it working but it kept flicking still images. I saw Castillo on one knee and the next image was Hatton with his arms raised, so those bastards ruined the fight for me!

i saw that too, i was watching the fight over setana cuz the other was choppy, and i was SHAMSHED so i didnt really bother me, but i figured the would have played the rounds they missed a few minutes after the fight ended, tured it off right after rghe decision tho
Re: Setanta sports, What the F##K!
I rang them up today and complained and they refunded this months subscription fees, I suggest you lot try as well. Still, I'd rather it hadn't happened in the first place, I was really enjoying the fight, I thought Barrera might pull it off.
Re: Setanta sports, What the F##K!
It must suck not having HBO and Showtime. They never have service problems.

No doubt man, Setanta sounds more like Satan-ta. ;D Why isn't HBO over there anyways???
